So yea those are my games, some greats and not so greats, but only 2 things are infinite in a gamers life.....The fact casuals will gobble up anything that looks pretty yet shallow, while hardcore gamers feel hosed....AHEM...*Cough*....*Cough*....Gears of War FTW! as well as GS will rate these games superior, and the fact that fanboys will one day....Rule the World.....because the strong do not out number the stupid:wink:

 

 

First of all MS said many times that HDMI and 1080p were not needed for HD gaming, and that the 360 premium was top of the line. Apparently MS lies. I paid $400.00 + tax for the premium wth a 20GB HDD. The new Elite is 479.00+ tax with a 120GB. I couldve waied a year, dealt with less troubles, and paid just $80.00 more for a 360 with a 120GB HDD and HDMI.

Well now Im stuck paying $179.00 just for the extra HDD and HDMI is not an option for me, all because I was an early adopter of the suppose "premium" system.. So while people will be paying close to $500.00 after taxes for the new 360 complete with HDMI and new 120GB HDD included, my total after buyung the new HDD will be about $600.00 after taxes, and I dont get HDMI....YAY HOW AWESOME IS THAT!

I absolutely need a bigger HDD because I like ripping music and storing videos from the marketplace, So now Ive brought my otal up to what I paid for the PS3 and dont get the next gen disc format with the 360...I FEEL REALLY RIPPED OFF RIGHT NOW:( I mean at the most a store will only give $200.00 - $ 250.00 credit for a premium 360, probably even less now that the "Elite" has been confirmed.

At least I know with the PS3 I get all that stuff out of the box and its not gonna be added a year down the road. I thought I had the best version of the 360, and MS has ruined that for a lot of people. Funny thing is that the 360 including the Elite still isnt incorperating the new smaller cooler processors yet, which at least gives me the satisfaction of listening to peoplpe **** about there shiny new BLACK 360 that breaks down on them.

 

Whatever Im just really dissapinted, and cant believe that Im now not going to get the best experience possible with out spending even more money. AND GOD DAMMIT BLACK IS MY FAVORITE COLOR LOL!

Gonna buy it today. Ive got 40.00 and a $25.00 gift card to Wal~mart so I'm getting Motorstorm.

I'm in love with the demo and I'm not a fan of racers usually. PGR3 was THE only racer I really used to play and was REALLY obsessed with the online play.

Used to like the GT series but I'm not into intricate car tunings and difficulty anymore. Racers should be race and go. Intricate should be left for RPGs lol.

Anyway Motorstorm demo is like the second demo ever to sell me on a game, the first was Crackdown:D Cant wait to play this game:D:D:D

So we all know about the whole Sony, Immersion, lawsuit, which is(I feel anyway) the reason Sony doesnt use rumble. They got sued for for using a product that had already been created by Immersion, with out there permission.

Well here is GOOD NEWS FOR ONCE!

This is good news most definitely. Who wants to bet that there will be a new controller with rumble and tilt, and it will be called...DualShock 3.

What exactly does that mean? My blog below about enchant arm was cut in half thanks to that:evil: WTF? Second time thats happened GRRRRRR!

Anyways my point was that Enchant Arms mechanics and acting sucked, and the homosexual character was WAY TOO STEREOTYPICAL!

Ok so I thought FF12 was bad....YUCK! This game is disgusting. The visuals are really bland, the voice acting is laughable, the battle system makes me puke, and the addition a homosexual character is just something I'm not ready for

YES this game has a homosexual character....and its way over stereotypical I don't hate homosexuals in any way, all human beings should live how they feel is right, but the character in the game goes above and beyond stereotyping gays and is just sad

Most Japanese characters are sort of femme anyway in Japanese RPGS, but this guy is like an Asian Ru Paul...Yuck! Hes dressed in tight pants and a half shirt, long blond hair, wears lip stick and talks with a EXTREMELY cheesy femme lisp.....Its almost a slap in the face to gays....it really is.

I puit the game in for like 10 minutes and just couldn't handle it anymore. My main concerns were the Battle system, and the voice acting COMPLETELY ruins it....then the gay character just adds salt to the wound. If the voice acting could have been better and the combat system up to snuff, I wouldn't have minded the flamboyant gay character as much but they should have toned him down.

They should of just made him look like the other characters with maybe just a touch of lisp in his voice, and I wouldn't of even minded the lipstick but this thing was prancing around like he was miss America or something.....Drag Queen forbidden>

Review in.....5.....4.....3.....2.....1.....Launched! A great game thats sort of like snorting crack.....one wiff and your hooked:D

Ive decided to never leave the house and play Crackdown until the sequel comes:D

Extremely vague story, only 2 kinds of side missions, car racing and roof top racing, repetetive running around shooting drug lords and king pins......yet I love it:D

There is just something so brutally addictive about the leveling up and just bouncing from roof top to roof top that I can tput it down. Started at 11:30 PM last night and its now 5:38 am and Im still playing. been leeveling almost the whole time lol.

Even though it is a very shallow game...its wonderful at the same time. Free-roaming at its best in a beutiful world. the explosion are so so satisfying, flinging a truck 200 feet is awesome. the shooting is great to.........and with DL content there is so much they could do with this game.

I could honestly see adding more missions and gangs. maybe even more side quest. The framerate is the BEST iv ever seen on a free roamer. The City is HUGE to...especially vertically lol.

If you just plain ol like to kill things and blow things up, and throw 5 ton semi trucks around this is the game for you. Co-Op will be awesome, cant wait to try it:D

You want a story better look else were, cause what you see is what you get. It really is just a quality addictive game:D

So my HDTV has 2 HDMI, 1 component, and 1 VGA connection. 360 wise HDMI is out so its VGA vs. Component.

The vast majority of people say that VGA is vastly superior and to an extent it might be...Ill break it down.

Component ports support 720p,1080i
VGA ports supports native reslution 1360 x 768 or 768p (might be 1380 cant remeber)

    VGA: Saints Row 
So VGA does actually make the Anti-Aliasing much better. there are far less Jaggies in the environment*. The Cars and Characters seem to be a lot smoother around the edges, and the street textures seem to be "smoothed" out, so the don't look so pixelated.

The building textures seem to remain the same, but they were good already with component so no obvious changes there.

Heres the downers. While it does look better over all, the text seems horribly pixelated, as well as the Hair on the NPCs and various characters. And when you have gang members following you there pics up in the right hand upper corner get so pixelated you cant see them hardly...its really an eye sore.

And the biggest draw back is the DULLNESS of the picture. the colors are richer...almost to rich, but the brightness is just disgustingly noticeable form the component. Its like the lighting effects in the game and the shadows don't seem to show hardly at all over VGA. Why I don't know why.  The clarity and brightness between the 2 is like day and night. 




Component: Saints Row

With Component the clarity of the picture is excellent. The colors feel normal, VGA almost makes them TOO rich. The jaggies are apparent, more so than VGA but nothing that would be out of the norm. Although text, hair, and gang member pics display with less jaggies over component....go figure.

Building textures look the same. The lighting and shadow affects seem to be more apparent, as they don't really seem to display well through VGA...why I don't know, VGA is technically suppose to be superior by allowing native resolution. The biggest draw though is the Color and Clarity, VGA just don't have it.

Downers? Jaggies are more apparent on characters and vehicles. Streets are not quite as smooth, look more digitized. Color is a little duller...but actually not a bad thing VGA is to rich in my opinion.



 The winner is: Component!

For me. the clarity, the color and displaying the less dull lighting and shading effects wins me over. I would have thought that the lighting wouldn't have played into it but it did. It displays much clearer, and cleaner on Component, while VGA has richer colors and smoother textures in some areas (due to native resolution i think), its not enough to beat component in my opinion. The clarity is just better with Component.

Amazingly enough the one product monster puts out that does actually look better than the MS products. Monster Cables are usually just over priced, but the clarity is much cleaner on the monster cables no doubt bout it.
