[QUOTE="-Zaku-"]Don't care. The demo alone sold me on the game so I'm still picking it up. Been looking forward to it for a while now. I've grown to ignore and disregard reviews. I buy what interests me.Ibacai

But a demo can in no way alert you to the two major negatives this review claims.

Game length and repetativeness.

The problem with that is God of War 1&2 both had those against them and I loved those games.

I personally don't think God of War had either of those problems.

The game length was just right for an action adventure, I spent about 9-10 hours with the first one I think, Heavenly Sword has been clocked at 6 hours and under, which is really very short.

As for repeditiveness, I don't think that holds true either. Alongside the bog standard enemies GoW introduces other enemies along the way, and the big difference is these enemies need different tactics to kill than standard enemies, from what I have seen the different HS enemies need stance changes, though because the basic enemies need this too it's not much of a change from the standard fighting mechanics. Also, GoW has massive boss fights with break up the levels and totally stop the repeditive base of the game, and even the levels themselves are so different as you move through the game. It's anything but repeditive, in my opinion.

The problem I see with Heavenly Sword, gameplay wise, is that although you have all these huge, deep and complex combos the enemies are never smart enough to need that, unlike a game such as Ninja Gaiden where the enemies absolutely do need to learn different combos. Also, the fact that the game can be played as a button masher never pushes the reviewer to actually learn to control the character properly, which ultimately gives them the wrong impression of the game.

No doubt HS will be worth a play because of the astonishing graphics and amazing cut-scenes. But maybe it shouldn't be paid for at full price.

I knew this would happen. Maybe you remember my saying this a long way back, Fuzzy, or maybe you don't, but I've been predicting for more than a year now that this game would disappoint everyone. Man, I sure can pick 'em! BTW BioShock is totally underrated at Gamespot. Toodles.WeeWeeJumbo

Pfft, I had this prediction too WeeWee. :P

I must say though, with the videos of the demo and watching the On The Spot playthrough, I was beginning to doubt my prediction.

Ok, here is a proper preview from an up to date build of the game.

Part 1

Part 2

Part 3

It shows the new HUD of the combat system, the character creation and give a general opinion of the game currently.

Army of Two looks terrible from the last gameplay previews.

I'll go with Super Mario Galaxy.

AAA.

Though after the Bioshock review, I'm a little worried about my 9.5 prediction. 9.0 definately.

The better game is definately NG:B. But, if you aren't willing to put the time and effort into learning the game (it's quite difficult) Dead Rising may be a better pick up and play game for you.

I'd go with NG:B personally. Solid, brilliant game for a hardcore player. Dead Rising is good, but some of the gameplay elements screw up your enjoyment of the game.

[QUOTE="Raidea"][QUOTE="TriangleHard"]2 from IGN.

rest? pretty steller reviews.TriangleHard

6/10 from Edge.

7/10 from IGN.

5/10 from PSN.

No, they are not all steller reviews I think you'll find.

Edge is harsh reviewer, so I don't think 6 is really that bad. R6V recieved 6 and Bioshock recieved 8.

5/10 from PSN? What's PSN?

Sorry, PSM, Playstation Magazine.

Half Life 2 as so overrated, yes Bioshock is better than it.

The original Half Life? Now that's a proper discussion.

It's a great game, I would have bought it for 400 points in a second.

The people who think it sucks, I bet you haven't even bothered to learn how to play it.
