I do think it comes down to nostalgia. The game was never released in Europe until the Wii version came out, and from my experience it comes across as a pretty dull and repetitive game. I couldn't find the interest to play for more than an hour.

Quake 3 had a serious issue with loading times for some reason. You'd be there for a good minute at a time. Although it had the better controls, the Dreamcast version was better. Anyways, the best FPS for me is Unreal Tournament. Did what Quake 3 did, but with unlimited customisation was far more expansive and generally more enjoyable. Goldeneye would be my second favourite. It had far more care and attention than Perfect Dark, and as for Perfect Dark Zero, that game is one of the worst FPS titles i've played.

This thread was originally supposed to be about SMG2 and if it'd follow the SMG formula or would it be really different... somehow its turned into a "Nintendo can't make games" and "I want to play SMG2" thread...[QUOTE="Raiko101"]Yoshi's Island was so awesome it even dropped the Super Mario World title altogether for it's sequel.Senor_Kami

What on earth are you talking about?

The sequel to Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island is called Yoshi's Island 2. That's what i'm talking about. :P

I much prefered the Twisted Metal series. I always saw Vigilante 8 as a lazy rip-off myself. Though saying that, Twisted Metal Black was no better lol. Anyways, you wont find a better game in the genre that Twisted Metal 2: World Tour. A Classic.

The Playstation was a great console. Had some real gems for it if you looked hard enough. I wouldn't call it the greatest console ever though. I definately wouldn't call the PS2 the greatest console ever either. That would be towards the bottom of my list.

[QUOTE="gonzales1"]

Is there a razor at the end of your stylus? :|

dr_doongy

if you use a screen protector for an extended period of time, the very very slightadhesiveness on the sticky side of the protector leaves a bit of residue, which, if you don't clean off somehow, makes for abrasive contact with styli.

that will definitely fung up your screen.

That sounds funging annoying... :P

Wow, what a cool looking game. Kind of reminds me of the old Resident evil games in some cases. It also has a very arcade-like feel to it. Especially with the shooting and driving parts. I'm definately hyped up about this!

Yoshi's Island was so awesome it even dropped the Super Mario World title altogether for it's sequel. What a game! But yeah, there is a Super Mario World 2, and I prefer it to the original.

Anyways, I wouldn't write off another Mario platformer for the Wii. The console seemingly has the lifespan for it. Something the N64 and GameCube lacked. I don't expect it to resemble Galaxy in the slightest though.
