How long after did FFIII come out after FFIV on the DS? I thought it was only a year. Either way I think the DS will get FFVI before the end of it's lifespan. The DS is probably only half way through its life cycle i'd say.

[QUOTE="dsfanboy1"]is it real or a hoaxMeluckycharms12

If you were really a DS Fanboy like your name insists, you'd already know the answer to your question. Simply put, when a new system is officially announced, you can look to no other than www.nintendo.com to find official info. And by official, I mean not fake, or public demonstration of lacking Photoshop skills.

Don't be so harsh. If YOU were a real DSfanatic like YOUR name insists, you wouldn't be commenting on how your DS "just collects dust".(previous post)

On topic though...I really hope they don't go any smaller. The DS fits my hands pretty good right now. I'm afraid if they go smaller, it'll be hand-cramps galore!

You just B-slapped him...

I just spilt my breakfast down me laughing at that. Well done! lol

The game makers have little to do with the production of the actual Wiis.

You think Miyamoto decided that, instead of making games, he would take up a spot on the production line this year?

Yeah I was about to say the same thing.

My PS2 doesn't handle the swap to disc 2 at all. Even though I know it's not a problem with the disc itself (as it runs fine on PS1).

GRID has been reviewed on GameSpot. Check the main page, it got a score of 8.5.

Sounds odd, you haven't left it in the heat or something have you? Perhaps it's picked up a bit of moisture. I've had my DS since day 1 and it's yet to have a fault of any kind. Especially like this one.

The problem with the hardcore crowd is that most of them are rarely willing to try something new. They're happy with the numerous sequels, or games that resemble high similarities to other games they own.

It does look pretty good actually. I'm not too big on 3D platformers though. I'll definately keep my eye out though.

[QUOTE="Raiko101"][QUOTE="famicommander"][QUOTE="Rocky32189"]

[QUOTE="famicommander"]There have been great Sonic games consistently since the series debuted. There have also been bad ones, but check out this list: famicommander

There has yet to be a game in the series that lives up to the Genesis games and Sonic CD. Sonic games are only getting consistently worse, not better in both the 2D and 3D series:

3D: Sonic Adventure is the best 3D Sonic game and it's been downhill since that one.

2D: The Sonic Advance games weren't as good as the Genesis/Game Gear/Sega CD games. The Sonic Rush games weren't as good as the Sonic Advance games.

Also, there's been many more crappy games in the series besides just Sonic 06 and Shadow the Hedgehog.

So a game that doesn't live up to five of the greatest games of all time is instantly bad? Seriously, which games ARE as good as Sonic 1-3, Sonic and Knuckles, and Sonic CD? I judge each game based on its own merits. NSMB and Yoshi's Island DS aren't as good as SMB 3 and SMW. Does that make them bad games?

In all fairness, Yoshi's Island DS and NSMB stand as great games in their own right, whether they live up to the originals or not. Sonic games are just the complete opposite. Even if you choose not to compare them to their originals.

If you choose not to compare them to the originals, you've still got: Sonic Advance Sonic Advance 2 Sonic Advance 3 Sonic Rush Sonic Rush Adventure All of which have 80%+ averages at Gamerankings... And how about Sonic Pocket Adventure, which got a 10 from IGN? Or Sonic and the Secret Rings, which scored 80, B, 7.6, and 7.6 from Eurogamer, 1up, GameTrailers, and Gamespot respectively? Sonic Heroes for Xbox has a 74.4% Gamerankings average. Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 received universal acclaim. There have always been good Sonic games. There have been some terrible ones too, but that doesn't make the whole series bad.

Oh no, I wasn't saying the entire series was bad. Rush wasn't too bad, and Sonic and the Secret Rings is pretty fun. I will argue howevert hat the Advance series has stolen entire extracts of levels from Sonic 1, 2 and 3 repeatedly, and so they can't be judged as new games. Even with the new coatings of paint.

Anyways, I wouldn't consider any of those games to be bad. It's just that they're not really that good either. I'm not trying to compare them to the original titles. I'm looking at them as their own games, comparing the fun factor to other games available on the same systems. I bought and sold the Sonic Advance series, as I did Rush. The fact that I sold them shows you how fun I thought they were. I rarely sell the games I own as it is. Sonic & the Secret Rings is worthy of anyones attention, though arguably not at full price. Which leads me to conclude...

People shouldn't write off new Sonic games, but the series generally isn't that great. It has had some notable moments in the last 10 years, but nothing to get excited about. I think that's why people don't expect anything anymore. I can't think of another gaming series which has failed to deliver anything really good, if not brilliant, for so long.
