This is not proof that developers are not trying to make a good games, more that a good game is simple to make. Games like Call of Duty are far more complex than World of Goo, and thus a bigger team and budget is required. The fact that it's overall ranking is lower than World of Goo further suggests that the more complex game is harder to perfect. That and indie developers are not under pressure from money hungry publishers like Activision and EA to meet deadlines.

It's unlikely, but if you played the 360 version you wouldn't bee too suprised. The original was pretty promising, but has problems that just wont be addressed in the Wii version. Mainly with stiff controls and poor boss battles.

Saying that though, I don't think it'll be a disaster either. I mean most previews have already stated that the lack of zombies hasn't really made a big difference to the gameplay or general fun. It'll probably recieve scores that the original 360 version would trully deserve had it not been reviewed so near to the consoles launch, when reviewers were still excited about the new technology.

It's definately a game i'm looking out for. Missed the original version sadly, but this seems like a pretty unique game.

I know it's off-topic, but I feel I have to respond to the Nintendo/casual comment made earlier in the thread. I don't really see the DS as a casual gamers console. Being a gamer of nearly 20 years, the DS is comfortably my most played console these past few years. I play it more than my 360 or Wii. It has more games that appeal to me than the others and most DS games have a feel to them comparable to the pre-PS2 era of gaming. They don't try to create an 'experience' or forget that they are just games.

Anyways, the DS is pretty well suited to the shoot 'em up genre, it's just some games can be taxing on the hands and wrist. Especially FPS games. I'd personally like to see more varying third person shoot 'em ups that offer a refreshing control scheme.

[QUOTE="Raiko101"]What if Madworld is just shovelware for adult gamers?fbigent34
yea right the company who use to work for capcom and got closed down would even bother making shvelware crap? give me a break that shouldn't even be in the same sentece.

Well it's being aimed at a market full of whinging gamers. I mean they want adult themes, voilence and hardcore gameplay. Just like they've been playing on other consoles for the past 5 years. I mean why put any effort into it?

[QUOTE="Rocky32189"]There's no set amount. The original Game Boy lasted from 1989 to 2001. But then the GBA only lasted 3 years before the DS released. My guess is that Nintendo already has their next handheld planned and ready to go. My guess is that they'll release it when Sony announces the release of next PSP. Nintendo will ride out the DS as long as they possibly can.
