No im not a fanboy, Yes I own this game. It sucks. The campaign is boring, the controls are lame, the framerate and graphics suffer from constant glitching and the online, while fun at first, got old fast.

The game sucks. Anybody denying it is a fanboy.

I liked it. I'm not saying it's the greatest game ever made or anything, but it was fun. The weapons were awesome. The level design awesome. The artwork awesome. Fair enough, it was pretty glitchy and the AI never really knew what to do if you rushed them, but it was still a fun game. At least to me. I'm glad I bought it. It still sits in my PS2 collection today.

This doesn't make me a fanboy because I don't buy consoles or games based on label. I buy what I want, when I want. Right now i've not got a PS3 and wont be playing Killzone 2 anytime in the near future. Oh well...

I'm a gamer of nearly 20 years and I bought this unashamedly. I don't see it as a game, but a useful piece of hardware/software. It deserves to sell as well as it has done.

I'm not sure what my first game was to be honest. I was 3 years when I got into gaming, I just can't remember if it was The Legend of Zelda on the NES or Sonic the Hedgehog on the Mega Drive that i'd played first.

[QUOTE="Raiko101"]Favourite: Super Metroid/Metroid Prime Least Favourite: Metroid Prime 2/Metroid Prime Hunters.Litchie

MP2? Come on, Metroid (NES) was pure boringness and MP2 is better than MP3.

(in my opinion)

I've still not played MP3 yet so I can't really comment. As for Metroid, it's more a nostalgic thing I guess. That and it's more difficult than Super Metroid. Still, I find MP2 to be repetitive, whilst the backtracking annoys. I know Metroid is all about backtracking, and I love that. It's just MP2 some how made it annoying for me. Especially when you had to travel through the dark world as well...

Dragon's Fury ( aka. Devil's Crush)Joystick_n_hand

Dragon's Fury is an awesome Pinball game. I never thought much of Pinball games until I played that one. It's incredibly addictive!

Just as Zerba_3 says, Road Rash II is definately worth investing in too. On of my all-time favourite racers.

I'm not the worlds most keen gaming collector, but i'd advise you against selling your PS1 unless you're definately going to keep hold of your PS2. The console is worth more than $8 and has so many great games. I'd say you should look about online and try out some of the PS1 games you missed out on back in the day. There are so many hidden gems on that console. More than on any other system.

Make sure the condition is ok first, but it definately sounds like a good deal. You have 3 solid games to build apon too. Starfox is loads of fun! :)

I actually prefer the new Resident Evil mechanics. I'll admit 4 is no where near as scary as the original, but I don't blame that on the gameplay. Resident Evil 4 had some very tense moments and for me at least, there was always a sense of disbelief when encountering a new boss for the first time. I just assumed they were all going to be incredibly hard and that i'd never be able defeat them lol. No game has made me feel like that before, so kudos to that

I'd like to see the series pan away from it's more 'action adventure' style plots though, and back into the scarier and darker scenarios of the first two games. It's definately something that would suit the series current gameplay mechanics.

As for survival horror in general, it's clearly not as big today as it was when the Playstation first came out. Some games like Bioshock definately offer the right kinds of atmosphere, but for the time being games seem to have this growing trend of offering a more action movie-like experience with an easier difficulty. Something I hope the new Silent Hill can address.

I have 32 PS2 games. There are about 10 or so more i'd like to add to my collection, but i'm pretty poor at the minute lol.
