If all you want is 1280x1024 @ 30-40fps you could save about $80 with the 8600gt

One good thing about the P5B-E is allot of work has been put into the bios its got tons of options and you can configure it just about anyway you want, it really is a top of the line motherboard.

OK, thanks. That's what I figured.

Oh, also, is it possible to overload your processor with volts even if the temps are OK, or do the two sort of go hand in hand.

Like could the temps appear OK, but the volts are killing the processor, anyway?

Thanks again.

I think deppending on who you ask the answer could go either way.

I'm not sure about this but i think that motherboard and cpu (E2140) both overclock to 3ghz, if that helps at all.

[QUOTE="Random__Guy"]I'm using a 8x card in a 2x slot right now.My_name_a_Borat

It's probably a 2/4/8x card.

A 4/8x ONLY card would NOT work in a 2X slot. It wouldn't even fit, as I said above.

Your probably right, (sorry about bad advice)

It's good and better than ide just make sure you have sata connectors on your motherboard, + sata cables.
