Yes, as I said i will buy a seperate video card. but other than that, will the processor last long(3 years)?Me_Ann

I'm just guessing in 3 years it would be like the way a 1ghz is today.

No wait maybe 1.5ghz athlon/celron.

I dont know, but im pretty sure il get rid of my E4300 in about 1 year.

I guess its half decent depending on the price, but you might want to something about the Integrated Graphics.

She said she was going to buy a gpu seperately. If you do, buy a new psu as well. I would suggest a dx10 card as you want it to last 2 years atleast. Get a 8800 gts and a seasonic psu. Maybe a 500+ watt.

Ya sorry i dident see that till after,

No problem. Everyone screws up.

It's what i do best.

There is too often a tendency to defend a bad buying choice as if it was a spouse you had married while on a drunken binge, but since your religion forbids divorce as well as murder, you pretend you want to stay married. There is no defense possible regarding that awful abortion. Even the atrocious Radeon 9550 is better than a Lowest quality FX, right up to the 5700 LE. Past that, the FXes are still foul waste, but not as foul as the 9550.

nVidia as much as admitted their mistake when they replaced the FX 5800 on their production lines with more GF 4 Titanium CPUs while retooling to create the 5700, 5900, and 5950. I know about their mistake through expensive personal experience, having owned several FXes. I think, if you want to cover my shipping expenses, plus $25, I still have an usused FX 5200 in the junk pile here readily available to whatever fool wants it that much.

Thats the worst sales pitch I've ever heard.

The computer I'm typing this message on is running Windows NT 4.0 on a dual CPU 180MHz Pentium Pro. I rescued it from the big mean garbage man just a month ago. :) It's a rare bird--it's actually got the 512KB cache version of the P Pro--two of them. Must've been as expensive as a car back in 1995.

But my main PC--the one detailed in my sig--runs 64-bit Vista Home Premium.

Hey don't give them any idea's, I don't want them stealing my dumpster trophy's.

Hey, that is my dumpter!!! I use to dumpster dive all of the time but found out that my area sucked for it. Plus, my basement was blocked. So I gave up and just purchased the parts I ever needed.

Do you do it all sneaky, or do you just dive right in?
