He was into blocking, so dual wield is not a good choice at all.alan_carterThe whole point of Light Armor is catered towards dual wielding.. Such as the increased stamina, greater avoidance for incoming attacks, Increased speed.. Using a shield just really makes all that pointless, and makes it lackluster in comparison to heavy armor.

I am thinking I'll stick with light armor + sword/board then and keep my archery for pelting stuff at range. I am having issues with weight. I have a bunch of metal that I was saving and it was really eating up my carry. Now that I know I can use my companion as a pack-mule I'm going to dump all my tradeskill stuff onto her.SerOlmyIf you're using light armor, you probably want to dual wield.
[QUOTE="RaseshX"]What is the effective difference between light and heavy armor in terms of defenses? I like being able to move faster, but I also like being able to take a bit more punishment. I tend to fire a few arrows and then either I switch to melee and close or they close on me and I go melee. Right now I am using studded leather armor that came enchanted with +20 health. Oh and not all dragons are fire :P I have faced two so far and the second one that jumped me was frost. Sorry, I didn't realize I just wrote fire, it's 50% of all resistances frost etc. In terms of defenses obviously heavy Armour allows you to defend more then light. Light focuses more around dual wielding, assassination, subtlety etc. It fits particular nice with the thieves/dark brotherhood story lines.Use sword + board with heavy armour, the game is a face-roll. Killing dragons is laughable after you unlock that 50% fire resistance blocking perk.

Ok, that makes sense, so what if I stick with the light armor (what I'm currently using) plus shield and sword would that sitll be effective or would I be losing too much armor?
Oh and how much slower in heavy armor? I was wearing an iron chest piece for a while and didn't really notice the difference.

By the way, it's not impossible to re-assign spell points, it's quite simple actually. You just need the console command which you can easily find through a google search. Though I believe the console command works by removing individual perks 1 by 1, so if you want to reset all your perks it may take a while!

Just 2 points I want to reassign, 1 in stealth and one in somethign else so that would be great, I'm only level 9 presently.
Since i'm bored I decided to look the commands up for you! To open up the command window hit '`' on your keyboard. Type "player.removeperk perkname" - without the speech marks. Type the perk name where I wrote it. Then to add a perk type player.addperk perkname- same deal as earlier :).Oh and whilst i'm here, Heavy Armor/Light Armor don't really have any effect on your archery skill I believe. It mainly focuses around the perks you put into Archery, so wear whatever you like.

[QUOTE="C_Rule"][QUOTE="Steameffekt"]This thread is wrong on so many levels... and we're not kids. :x

Yeah, was thinking the same, when I saw it, thought; I'm not gonna bother helping...
Addressing the people you want help from, as 'kids', is not going to get you very far.
Ah come on man, I was just having a little bit of fun. Rather than make it a boring thread I thought I might add some humor. Anything wrong with that? It's only really offensive to the GameSpot audience who are around 16 years old or less, as they are still on that constant quest to prove that they're mature adults!I wouldn't take it personally though, it seems 70% of the community here have had someone urinate on their cornflakes.
I use an ASUS VH242H, great picture and it's probably pretty cheap now.I'm going to be purchasing an Alienware gaming PC soon(don't give me the lecture about how it's expensive, the monthly payment is the only way I can do it, not to mention build my credit for the future). And I was wanting to buy a monitor, nothing crazy like 30 inches...just a good 20-23 inches, preferably LED and REASONABLY priced, nothing 350+, 300 might even be pushing it. Please help.
