[QUOTE="TheDarkDisciple"] So the Wii is outselling the 360 everywhere in the world by a considerable margin? Is that your clever way of saying everywhere except the US? Because right now hardware sales are pretty close, and the 360 usually has better software sales. I don't even know what you're trying to say about Japan and Europe or w/e.

Nope, Wii is absolutely killing the 360 in the USA as well. It's not "close". But the 360 does have a fantastic attach rate
Actually, the X360 has sold more units in the U.S. compared to the Wii.

And Halo 3 has 8.1 copies sold, not shipped; go look it up. And what does SMG have? Like 2m, or 4m like someone else was saying? Yeah i don't think much is going to change. It has been selling pretty good but it's still behind CoD 4, and a little bit ahead of Halo 3 which was released a couple months before. I'll believe SMG can outsell Halo 3 when i see proof.
Btw, i'm going by real reports, none of that vgchartz stuff.

I have looked it up. the number is "sold to retailers" which means shipped, and as i have already pointed out Galaxy is kicking Sunshine's ass in at least two out of three of the major territiories (sunshine sold 6.5 million). So Galaxy looks as if it'l sell more that 6.5 million, Halo 3 has shipped 8 milllion. It's not hard to see how Galaxy could Pass Halo 3 quite easily
Actually, Sunshine sold 5.91 million and SSBM sold 6.58 million. Infact the highest selling game on the GC is Mario Kart at 6.60 million. Compare that to Halo 2 which sold 8.45 million. Unless the Wii install base doubles that of the X360, Mario Galaxy won't be surpassing Halo 3 sales numbers.

First it was ........ Metroid is going to sell more units than Bioshock. That didn't happen. Now its Mario vs Halo. Its the same tune over again but with the same result. Don't be confused...... GOTY doesn't mean most sold.
