okay so I have a wierd one for you. Have any of you guys ever gotten far into a game, gotten to a certain level, stopped playing it, come back to it later and then restarted the game? If so, what game, what level and why?

For me, Resident Evil 4, chapter 5-1 and the only reason I can think of is because I really dont care about the game after that point. I consider myself having won after chapter 4, just because there are some damn difficult fights in all the areas of the game up to there. The island to me for some reason feels tacked on and unecessary, and the enemies/level design seem overall less appealing. I have actually beat the game up to that point twice now, and I am thinking about restarting the game. I just like to enjoy games, and for me, chapter 5 is not enjoyable.

Just asking, have you ever played the rest of Chapter 5? Or just 5-1? because there are some AWESOME boss fights in chapter 5. Trust me, it gets better after 5-1. Especially when you meet Krauser.

the fact that both the Krauser and U3 boss fights involve them chasing me for a while before I get to fight them annoys me. I plan to beat the game this time, but it will take me a while, because there are games I actually WANT to finish. The only reason I want to beat RE4 is for the new costumes and the typewriter.

Actually there is more to it than him chasing you. But I won't spoil that. Also the "It" fight is pretty fun, IMHO. And you don't get the chicago typewriter from beating the game. You ge tthat from either Assignment Ada or Seperate paths, can't remember which.

While I agree with those that were said above, Ive got a couple others to add. The Darkness has an AMAZING story, and is absolutely a blast to play. Assassin's Creed has an epic feel to the story, and a vibrant, living world to boot. But the one I would have to recommend the most is the Orange Box. Huge fan of Half Life 2's storyline. Add to that you get 5 games in one bundle, it's hard to top.

oh, and to compare the 360 to the PS2/xbox, it is like comparing a classic film a la the Evil Dead to a modern film like The Dark Knight. The classic will bring back feelings of nostalgia and still be able to hold up, but the newer one will open a whole new world of fun that you couldn't of had before. Atleast that's they way I see it.

Yes, pick up the 360. To get optimal graphics, as stated, you need an hdtv. Even without it though the games look FAR better than any of last generation though. And unless you are wanting the catalogue of games for the Wii, I would ignore what the posters said about that. I am assuming you are wanting a 360 for the titles in its rather large library and if that is so, you won't get most of them on the Wii. Even if you do, it will be a watered down gimmick of a port. Not saying there isn't quality titles for the Wii, just saying the titles that are on both Wii and 360 are better on the latter.

I think it is way too early to predict. Personally, I'm most excited for Fallout 3. But since most of the prospective candidates aren't even out yet, I'd have to say GTA 4. Again, this is only because nobody has played games like GoW2 or Fallout 3 yet.

Yes, the original Fallout games were pc only. Would be very cool if they put them up on Xbox Live though. I'd love to play them again.
