I'm still buying used Xbox games. Actually, I wanted to go to EB this weekend to browse, but I didn't work up the energy.muthsera666

I'm with you on that, and loving it. Buying the old xbox games that I never had money for before for cheap now.

Xbox forum wont be closed anytime soon, and I still have like 10-15 friends on my friends list that havent gotten a 360 yet.

You know there are actually people that manage xbox live and makes sure everything is working correctly, as well as making updates and games backwards compatible. All the content (demos, videos, etc) is mainlyheld ona server(s) for people to access and download from, you need a source to access resources right? As far as gaming is conscerned with xbox live, I'm not entirely sure how it works, you do host your own games but maybe you need to go through a server or something to play, no one knows except someone that works for micrsoft or have gotten an official statement from them.

I also do know that xbox live comes with security, and helps make games hacker-free. Im not saying it's not possible, they just made it tougher to do. And once again it takes people to monitor and update the security of xbox live, as well as listening to complaints submittedfrom xbl users.

So for your petty $5 a month, your paying for people's jobs as well as quality service from them.

As far as psn later costing money, no one can be too sure about it. But if you ask me, they're pulling of a netzero thing where they will give it to you for free in the beginning but later charge you. Just my opinion though.

Yeah there are girls out there playing xbl, butI dont really giveahoot about it. Everytime I see one, some other dude is there talking nonstop to them, defending and sucking up to them. And most of the time they're just screwing around with their little followers in the game and dont even play (no offense to serious female gamers). Playing casually isone thing, doing nothing is another. The guys try to show off their "mad skillz" and show them neat tricks, and it's just a bore fest for me. I'm a recreational player, but I like to actually play the game and have a fun time with my team members that I can treat the same way. I know there are girl gamers that play the game seriously, just havent come across them.

A waterworld MMO would be something cool to try out. In the movie there where "mutated" humans which could be emphasized more in the game. You could probably start out with a normal boat with a standard harpoon, and get upgrades for it such as bigger sails and a mini-submarines when you complete quests, kill pirate enemies, and hunt for items. You could have trading with other players, or kill them to loot some stuff, but the starting zone you start in would not allow PvP to allow new players to start off well. You can create a guild when a player collects enough items to build a small home base for it.

I can only imagine....

It was fun for the first 20-30 hours of gameplay, after that I got bored with it. There isnt much to do besides the missions and the arena. The weapons and armor where easy to upgrade and get. I only wished that I would be able to contol at least a hundred minions and be able to lay seige and destroy towns completely but sadly no.

Well problemswith video gamebanningcan easily be swayed by one thing, an official, organized petition. The only problem is that there isnt a large number of people ready to do it. While every video gamer is busy posting on a forum or playing....well video games, irresponsible parents and other anti-videogamer peopleare getting their word out through court room hearings, legislation, newspapers, and other media which are the real focus point of most officials (which is were Sony etc. made their decision to band it).

Here's a thought, try treating problems like these like when they tried to ban drinking lol. It never happened, and it was only a drink :P

[QUOTE="CJL182"]

[QUOTE="Conjuration"]Sony, MS, and Nintendo can all go jump off a bridge. We need a console manufacturer with a nut-sack between its legs. Someone who`s willing to let video games off its leash.Conjuration

I'd like to see some AO games be released as well, but it's just too risky for hardware companies. You know some kid is going to get his hands on an AO game, do something stupid and crazy, and the hardware companies will get the blame despite the parents' lack of control over what the kid is playing. The hardware company would take such a big hit from negative publicity from it.

You're probably right.
Everyone: Just keep taking your kids to McDonalds because you're too lazy to cook and then plop them down in front of the tv with a new game to keep them busy for awhile.
Disgusting.
This is really too much to get into. My god, I could type on this forever. There's too many branches on this tree.

Actually if they sold the sytem like they do with cigarettes then theres no problem. If they slap a label on saying "canONLY be sold and playedto people above the age of 18" then theres no problem, and parents would get in trouble if their children get their hands on it because its for adults only. Then the publicity would be on the parents, "2 parents allow their 9 year old child watch dirty stuff!" Then its off to social services lol.

the war will continue till the end of video gaming, because theres always the next year where "insert title" comes out and it pwns the other system, and the system fixes all of its hardware problems ect ect.

Is there a console of the year award or something, cause that would make a lot more sense than ranting what happened in the past or whats going to happen next year for each console. I have to say that the Wii would get it for 2007 so far with the 360 in second ps3 for third.
