First off, MagicQuebec, (sorry if I spelled it wrong and if your from Canada, hows it going eh?:P) I understand were you come from. In my future I would love to do animation on games, or be a journalist for them. Of course the graphics do matter. I won't deny that fact, but I just feel since the current gen came out, gameplay and story have taken a back seat to them. There are games that strike the balance like the Uncharted series, but when you look at say Madden or any other sports game that EA makes. The only difference year to year is the graphics. Everyone just goes "YES it is the same game but it looks fractionally better!" Killzone was another example of this. The graphics were fantastic, some of the best to date, but the gameplay suffered. It was a good game, but don't you feel all the effort they put into the graphics could have been used to make the game that much better?

For the guy with the light blue text, (sorry I forgot your name) I said in a previous post that graphics are meant to enchance the experience, not be the experience. If the technology is there to make it look better then why not. I am more talking about when the obvious emphasis on the graphics takes away from the gameplay. I definantly want my games to look good, butI would rather play a better game even if I have to deal with a graphics scale back.

Amfsm, yes it was like that in the past, but it is no were near as prevalent as it is in this generation.

Online in COD does not really have any way to put players together outside of the party system. Who you get placed with is just random. As for the semtex thing, semtex is really only useful to me when someone is behind cover. Throw it at the wall behind them and boom, instant kill. I understand that you try to put the team first and I am impressed. 95% of people that play only care about themselves.

The RPD is a good weapon due to the power and the large clip size, I recommend taking of stopping power because the weapon is so strong. Use lightweight in order to have faster movement and you should do better. Even without stopping power, I have killed guys in two maybe three shots with that gun. I wouldn't say that you are a newb, because you seem tounderstand the game. Being a newb to me is not understanding how to play. You have the concepts, they just need practice.

The PSN problem wouldn't stop the better players from going online. Not to mentionin general I find mostMW2 players are... I don'tknow the word to use... CheapI guess. Mostof the time whenI die in the game, it is not becauseI lost afair fight. My deaths comefrom spawn kills as well as cheap weapons like the Model's and rockets.I am guessing many people have slims over the older models so that wouldn't really be a factor. Prestige can be fun but you have to be ready to start with nothing again. It can add replay to the online though.

Just keep practicing techniques, learn the maps, learn the ins and the outs of the game, and most importantly stay calm. You will find yourself becoming a better player very quickly.

Actually no, the only reason I have next gen consoles is so I can play new games. The ps2 won't have much life left and everyone knows is. Gamecube is already dead as with the xbox. The systems we all own now are not even next gen anymore. So no the only reason I have new consoles is so I can play new video games.

The thing that I just don't understand is why do people care that much and literally refuse to play a fantastic game because of the graphics. Gameplay and story matter so much more and that why the industry is going downhill. Its all about looks now and that leaves most games a bit shallow. Graphics are meant to enhance the experiences not make it.

As for the movie thing, I watched a movie once were the lip syncing didn't even match up and the video wasn't the best but it is one of the better moviesI have seen. It was a great story and that is what I wish gaming was still about.

Not all of the 3D Zeldas were bad. OoT is still one of the best video games ever made. The problem is that nintendo just has not been able to get it right like they did with OoT. All of the other ones have been good but nothing fantastic.

BFBC:2 won't end modern warfare. It just won't. Even if Infinity Ward doesn't make anymore MW's, Activision will find someone to do it.

Lately in the world of video games, graphicshave become increasing more "important" to people. My personal opinion is who cares what the graphics look. Last night I was playing Star Fox 64 at a buddies and had a blast. Some people in today's world would refuse to play it because the graphics are bad and outdated.

Why has graphics become that important to people? Doesn't the gameplay matter more?

Discuss?

While Infinity Ward is a great studio and usually make quality games, West was one of the founders and was one of the original creative minds on COD so its a huge loss that he is not there. Nobody can deny that. It is like Nintendo losing Shigero Miyamoto

What would be awesome is if West started another company and they started a brand new IP and changed genres from FPS to something else.

Honestly senstivity only is a preference. I play with a sensitivity of 3. One thing many people don't do is move the right stick with the left. This makes turning around and aiming much easier because you can move the sight up and down with the right stick but still strafe with the left. Not to mention turning around can be a much more fluid thing using that technique.

If you can learn how to use the auto aim and snap to a target it can really help. Just tap the aim button to snap to the the enemy (your sight needs to be fairly close) and let the bullets fly. When you are fighting someone with a pistol and they have an assault rifle or any other type of weapon the one thing you need to make sure you do is keep moving. They have a much stronger weapon and if you don't move they will rip you to shreads 95% of the time. If you are using a stronger weapon try to get behind a wall or something and calmly shoot. Don't just spray at them. Take the second or two to aim and fire. I garentee you while that person is trying to spray at you, you can just calmly aim and pick him off. Unless he gets a lucky shot like sometimes happens.

Another thing that helps is staying calm. It was mentioned that a lot of new COD players panic when they get into an intense firefight. Just stay calm and think about what you are doing. Most of the people that play the game do panic and you can tell because of how bad their aim is sometimes. Staying calm lets you make good choices and will make you a better player.

Also get good with your grenades. Both special and frag/semtex. Using flash and stun grenades is an easy way to pick up a free kill (being that they can't see you). Knifing I find is a useless skill except in close range. Those people that run around and knife make me laugh. All you do is step back and shoot them. My advice is to stop using that unless you close the distance. Commando can give that little bit of extra distance needed to make the knife a truely effective weapon.

Hope I could help.

I found vetern very hard in WaW. As soon as you enter an area everyone goes "Hey look its the player" and they shoot at you, and only you. They also spam grenades like a b***h. EverytimeI died in either MW games was becauseI made a stupid mistake like rushing a guy with a p90. In WaW,I only got killed by grenades.
