I admit, I was thinking the wonderful animation was going to take a major hit with the move to 3D and UE... After watching the video, I'm recolored impressed...

Most gamers don't understand that. They need a whole new cast of characters in an all new story and setting. It doesn't matter what fun or interesting mechanics are thrown in. Heck, it doesn't even matter if the gameplay is radically different than it's predecessor. They play games for the story and graphics, not the actual gameplay...

Looking good! From the looks of the IGN video (below via @sam1z ), it looks like the animation has improved as well!

Hopefully we won't see a skip when an animation loops or a Hydra stutter as it makes it's way through the air...

There was a good chance that I would've bought Tomb Raider day-1 if I had a demo to try; now it's going to be a bargain-bin purchase...
