Homosexuality in a game should not be a problem for anyone who is already okay with lesbianism, and people distinguishing the two morally is just sad, however the day-one DLC was immoral for the reasons listed in the article, and whether or not EA corrupted Bioware or Bioware became corrupt itself, the disregard for the genre of the games they produce is sad. If you want to appeal to the mass market by dumbing it down, that's fine by me, just don't don't do it with the RPG genre, and especially not with the sequels to titles that have already established themselves as lovable games among RPG-lovers. I find the EA/Valve comparison perfect to show that while it's true that gamers love to hate corporations that treat them unjustly, they also love to love companies that uphold themselves with honor. I feel that if EA just tries to earn the respect of gamers, and not just through illusions like "You all should be grateful for us offering extra content for the low, low price of 10 bucks!" but through giving them actual respect, it just might be possible for them to get that respect, if they don't dig themselves into a deeper hole.
Man. There are so little developers I can be proud of now... Activision with this, Ubisoft with releasing the same game twice with a few things added at full price, and EA with... everything they do (like ruining DA2)
I gotta say, I was afraid computer gaming was dying, what with the Dragon Age franchise being consolized with DA2, and waving a certain finger at PC gamers...
