The H60 is like $50 on Tigerdirect right now. A decent 3rd party CPU fan would actually cost -more- than that.

I heard low end water cooling isn't really worth it though. You should stick with a Hyper EVO 212 if you're not willing to spend for a H100i imo.

I was having something similar happening, but the opposite regarding temps. My 4th core was running 8-10 degrees hoter.

When I first built my rig I used the a tear drop of thermal paste in the middle of the CPU and then I squeezed the cooler on top. Turns out I'd left a small corner of the chip without any thermal paste.

I cleaned the chip with rubbing alcohol, re-applied thermal paste using the plastic card method (for uniformity). Now my temps are the same with 1-2 degrees of difference between cores. Hope this helps.

Yeah you're probably right.

When I look at my CPU temps, 3 of my cores are idling at about 30-31 Celcius. But my 4th core idles at about 24 Celcius. I don't understand what is going on. Any ideas?

[QUOTE="dxmcat"]Someone is jacking off cause they think someone is mad. Water cooling costs more. I don't need it in a stock e8400 & 560ti system. Wanna OC to 3924082 ghz? knock urself out.

Labeling us as fanboys when all we did was debunk your false claims lets me know that it got under your skin.

[QUOTE="lawlessx"][QUOTE="uninspiredcup"]

Having played many hours of Shogun 2 i'm looking forward to this. But Shogun 2 did have massive issues still unresolved.

The developers have outright said this mobo will not simply be a DOTA clone. I'm looking forward to seeing what they come up with. Hopefully it doesnt become pay2win, that would just dampen everything and make it piddly poo as a competitive game.

uninspiredcup

what Mobo games are Pay2Win?

I never said mobo games are pay2win. Reading comprehension is a wonderful thing.

It's silly at this point to not trust the developers to have learned their lessons about P2W. I don't get how thats a worry anymore.

[QUOTE="mr_chalupa"]For any of you thinking of an upgrade soon.. hold your horses. I read somewhere that new direct x is around the corner. And b4 you start jumping on me with, no games, no support etc etc. its supposed to come out when Xboner does its thing, uncontrolably showing up, =p. releasing it for win 8.1. Even if you cant max your games right now with your current card. if it still manages I would advise on holding for 6 months for DX to come out as well as cards. then value them and think if its not better to buy. a real cheap 780 or 7970 until a decent new DX card is around. As a side benefit in doing this is that you can save up and not go broke if you start saving until that time.

Again, the 8000 series by AMD will only be an iteration on the 7000 series. This is not a generational shift at all. And the argument that should you wait a little longer for the next thing to come out can be made at anypoint at anytime. It's not worth waiting if that means waiting 6 months. Because in 6 months we'll all be able to say ''just wait another 6 months for that other thing to come out'' again.

Man the Pats O-line is decimated. Eagles shouldn't have a problem pass rushing.

No_Hablo_Ingles
New defensive system. Going to be interesting seeing Trent Cole as a 3-4 outside linebacker.

Coaches need to learn to adapt to their players, not vice versa. Dwight Freeney, a future HOFamer was nowhere to be found in a 3-4 system last year. I don't get it.
