Yeah the bigger the fan, the less RPM it will require to move the same amount of air. Which means more quiet fans.

Hi guys I wanted to know your opinion

I am currently upgrading/pretty much rebuilding my gaming PC (its been 4 years since the last full upgrade) and this is the stuff I am planning to get

-Processor: Intel Core i5-4670 3.4GHz Quad-Core Desktop Processor

-Mobo: Gigabyte Z87 LGA 1150 ATX (GA-Z87X-UD3H)

-Memory: Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 1600 MHz

-HDD: Seagate Barracuda 3 TB HDD SATA 6 Gb/s 7200 RPM 3.5-Inch Internal Bare Drive

-External HDD: Seagate Expansion 3 TB USB 3.0 Desktop External Hard Drive

-PSU: Corsair Professional Series HX 750 Watt ATX/EPS Modular 80 PLUS Gold (HX750)

-Case: NZXT Guardian 921 RB ATX Mid Tower Case, Black

-CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 101i

I am not 100% sure about the CPU cooler compatibility since there is no mention of the 1150 on Cool Master´s site despite LGA 155 compatible cooling solutions supposedly being the same size

In terms of GPU I have a GTX 660 OC that will probably be replaced with a GTX 760 Ti eventually

I am currently on a budget with some slight possibilities of extra cash to tweak stuff and I wanted to know if its enough to go around with a good gaming PC or there might be incompatibilities etc.

Feel free to add any suggestions or possible changes

First of all there won't be such a thing as a 760 Ti. There's only the 760. Unless that gets announced, but I doubt that it will at this point. Then you'd probably wanna get the K version of that CPU. It will allow you to OC it and get more value out of it. Also I doubt you need 16GB of RAM. 8GB is perfectly fine for gaming. But if you plan to use this PC for software that benefits from more RAM, then dont mind me. Also I think you'd wanna spend for 15$ more for the Hyper 212 EVO instead. But if you don't plan to overclock, that one is fine I guess.

[QUOTE="dxmcat"]LOL @ Water. Still needs radiators.........which have fans.

Well a water cooled system brings higher performance. Which means the fans won't have to be as loud to perform at the same level of a purely air cooled case.

Usually you wanna have a case that has a fan that intakes air in front and one that exhaust on the back. Then for optimal air cooling you'd wanna have one that exhaust out the top of the case(but not all cases has holes on top it) and another intake fan on the side(again if you have holes there). It's also possible to have an intake fan at the bottom for cases that has holes through its bottom. But the universal rule you wanna follow is to have an equal amount of air that goes in and out. It's not dramatic but if you don't, but more air coming in than out would cause to have a dusty inside of a case. That would cause it's own set of problems.

Or should I wait for amd's next-gen cards? anyone knows when they are coming out?

AMD655
I dont even know any games that the 7990 can't max out at 60 FPS at 1080p. Why the hell would ever spend something like 1200$ for no immediate improvements???

He cannot max any game with 60fps minimum... see his other threads.

Well I think I'll be better off avoiding his threads altogether from now on.

I cant believe he still doesn't realize the 7990 is a multi-gpu on 1 card. So he's telling us he spent a 1000$ on a card without knowing what it was. wow just wow

Anyone who's unironically a self-proclaimed Alienware fan really should re-evaluate his own life.

i will likely get a new AMD , but that is only true if AMD has better performance for the $$. Nvidia you have to pay a premium for lower performance, as long as they continue that way, I won't buy their products.

What are you talking about? The 760 and the 770 are better values currently than their AMDs counterparts.
