I like her acting and I like her career choices.

Can't say I like the hyperactive may she behaves in public.

Read this, I'm not saying it was staged but it's certainly suspicious. I wouldn't doubt her if she actually called the police, instead of just tweeting how she was chased away from her own home by misogyny .

Radical feminists have an asnwer for that too, any women who disagrees with their ridiculous narrow minded view has "internalized misogyny and is the enemy.Last few days I've seen real gamer girls being harassed on twitter by so called "equality warriors", they even got called out for not being real girls but trolls in disguise.

I love SJW and feminists when they get all puffed up like this because it proves that being normal and not on their side means that i am on the right side.

But its actually amazing that feminists and SJW keep on this path and have yet to discover that hey if you dont like it, dont freaking buy it, you have absolute no right or ownership to demand that a developer change to fit your agenda.

Also i wonder if these people spent their time making games they want instead of running around like headless chickens if they wouldn´t actually see more progress.

They are awful people and far more mean spirited and abusive than people they call sexist

Change is always happening and it will within the industry now that more and more women are starting to work within development studios and are starting to play videogames. And as we get more and more social aware. It's a inevitable thing.

That said it is not going to happen overnight, nor will it happen without some fighting tooth and nail to try to stop it.

I for one think change is a good thing, I see no harm in having characters with dark skin color, or opposite gender or even a different sexuality, belief or looks. Aslong as it is a result of the developers choice to have their lead and supporting characters like that and actually respecting their choice even if you'd dislike it no matter their choice, No matter their choice.

Women have always worked in the video game industry, and helped shape it. I've been playing video games made by women since I was 10...

Who the hell is anita, with her scams, dishonesty, censorship to change the gaming industry?

I DONT PLAY VIDEO GAMES BECAUSE ITS GROSS I DONT WANT TO SHOOT PEOPLE IN THE HEAD - Anita

I've been following the situation...

-anita sets up a donations page

-she tweets the threats against her

-they look suspiciously like they were written by a woman

- she doesn't contact the police

- all gaming journalists report how she was "driven out of her house by the misogyny in gaming embodied"

-later we have ten identical articles popping up about how the term gamer needs to die because it stands for sexism and misogyny

I have female friends on steam. I've donated to female kickstarters such as Jane Jensen,TFYC, i love many video games with female protagonists. My sister plays WoW. This is fucking bullshit. I will not stand for it and fight these hypocrites as best I can.

I Keep seeing Johntrons name come up in this garbage what did he do to incur the internet wrath?

He had the guts to say that maybe something is wrong with gaming journalism. Then the , you know Social justice warriors, high standing for a good cause bullied him to no end on twitter with all kinds of awful insulting tweets , even harassed him in real life at PAX. Just because he had a differing opinion (it wasn't even opposite theirs, a level headed stance, just acknowledged the opposition). This is the future you choose

I don't see the problem other than using a vague term that is usually only used to defend a person's ego. I don't really care if the forum community dies off--I think the articles are talking about video game forum culture more than anything else--because there's nothing inherently valuable in arguing over financial reports that hide information, pixel and polygon counts, shallow arguments over what product is better, groupthink, and repetitively shouting the same words/opinion into the void of anonymity. The majority of forum critique is superficial with no real knowledge of how the development process works and no real knowledge gained from the discussion--I'm not excluding myself in this critique; I'm part of the complex, mostly out of habit at this point.

So if it's the death of gamers, then I'm okay with it. If an article wants to tell me a demographic that was pandered to in the past is gone, then I'm okay with it. It doesn't affect me. I'm still going to enjoy what I enjoy.

The part where residents of Mt. Pious who do argue for a good cause (you know for equality and to stop baseless generalizations) , then proceed to generalize an entire community based on assholes on the internet is definitely worthy of criticism. Nevermind, the straight up ignorance of it all, go to a political website, sports website, or any other medium and the posters are just as fucking stupid. It's not "gamers" in this case, and yes gamers are butthole cancer, but it's more the internet as a whole. People take the internet as a license to be an asshole, and fact is some of these people couldn't take it, and then proceeded to act like the people they are criticizing.

That's no bueno purely on this premise. If you believe in a cause, if you argue for a cause, then you must hold yourself to a higher standard, and take the higher road. In the case of someone like say Leigh Alexander (who's work I usually enjoy), she didn't. She got butthurt and wanted to make the internet butthurt.

Again I think the articles are targeting a certain sect of "gamer," and while the articles don't make it very clear and do over generalize, I think the message of the various articles is that if you're an asshole, then we don't want anything to do with you. I agree though, gaming forums are not the only place filled with terrible anonymous posters, the internet comments/forums/social media can as you eloquently put it (I don't mean that sarcastically Champ) turn into "buthole cancer."

What I've seen on twitter by Kotaku and social justive supporters is way more toxic and disgusting than anything I've seen on System Wars. Did you see the link and what they were doing to Jon Tron? #4wordstodescribe gamers? This was perpetuated by them .They're hypocrites. And they hate us

Explain exactly what they're supposed harmful effect on the industry is or might be? So far I believe the only thing you've pointed to is some artwork for a Kickstarter game getting changed.

Are you kidding? Except the fact that they ruined gaming journalism even more with ridiculous clickbait articles? Wanting censorship and wanting to stop freedom of expression. Hounding developers like David Jaffe, CD Projekt , Blizzard, organizing twitter raids and blacklisting against anyone that doesn't share their oppinions, calling for the fucking death of gamers? There are many examples
