Im so glad the PC version was cancelled. It's funny that herms feel that the PC version was cancelled due to the 360 'dumbing down' however it turns out the non open world idea came out much before the demise of the PC version. Now i get to play this game with a controller that works for 3rd person games, unlike a mouse and keyboard which although has higher accuracy, is a less intuitive than a controller. KB and M i used to love sooo much, but controller is more comfortable.

Why are you glad that millions of people won't get a chance to enjoy the game? What if it flops as an Xbox exclusive ? Looks like a rental to me. 8-10 hours, no multiplayer . PC games like these do well in Europe, and pretty much no one has a Xbox 360 here. And how does a controller work in third person better than a mouse (works better in beat em ups only)? Do you realize that Remedy who are making Alan Wake are a PC developer? They created Max Payne and Max Payne 2 on the PC first, and then Rockstar made the console ports. And another thing. Gears of War M&KB>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Gears of War Controller.Unfortunately, there aren't "millions" of pc gamers anymore, since a huge majority of them are now console players. I'm glad its not on PC so people can't complain about it being superior on PC, now that will never happen since nowbody knows what a PC version would have been like. I know, you going to try to source out the PC tech demo from years ago, but unfortunately tech demos are just that, tech demos. They aren't representations of the actual game. Did you ever see the tech demo for half life 2? A lot of the special effects in that tech demo never made it into the game. Wait, a PC game was cut down from its tech demo? This is common practise during the development process.
I can tell your angry that its not on PC because you live in Europe as you say. Thats too bad, I feel for you. You should have been born over here and then you wouldn't be having this raging crysis of not playing Alan Wake. FYI I've been gaming on PC's since the 80's but over the last 10 years PC gaming has been dying. Games are still comign out, but the rareity of games designed just for PC is fading, and the graphics (except for crysis) are starting to get tied to the console cycles, and its practically just xbox ports coming to PC. KB &M is only king for RTS games and FPS games, but as you can tell a huge majority of games are 3rd person / rpg style games, which are better with KB&M (btw gears sucked for PC which is partly why they didnt bother with gears 2 on PC).
On top of all that, PC gaming is being killed off by piracy. I suppose you know this since you live in Europe and aonly play games on PC. Must be the reason for your blind hatred for Microsoft, since I'm sure you game on their windows platform. Remedey has stated that Alan Wake would never have been what it is if it wasnt for the backing of Microsoft and the decision to go exclusive was that of Remedy, not of Microsoft. Max Payne 2 was fun, however it flopped in sales on the PC especially when compared to MP1. Don't you remember all the articles on gamespot about how sales were terrible for MP2? Perhaps you were too young to remember that time 8 years ago.
Your words are very ignorant my friend. There aren't millions of PC gamers? How many are there thousands? LOL. Steam counts 25 million members, even more now those numbers are kind of old., not to mention many PC gamers don't even use steam, some use DD or other sites like that, or buy retail or don't buy at all(pirate) . How many members Xlive has including silver? 20 million? *cough cough* Yes piracy is a problem , but this has been discussed to death. PC games sell. Crysis = 3 million, Stalker 3 million, Witcher 2.5 million. Lame console ports like MW2 get pirated to death, because no one would buy them in the first place. High profile exclusives like Halo or Gears sell millions, but those are in the minority. Most console developers struggle with sales, we constantly hear news of developers disbanding, publisher are at a constant loss.Max Payne 1 = 5 millon sales. Max Payne 2 = 2 million sales. These are not bad sales even by today standards where games cost tons of money to produce. They were disappointing because MP 1 did so well,
