Man....you never give up? :| I have seen you being owned every time you blindly bash a 360 game...Mass Effect 2 anyone?? :?

Sollet

Sam Lake says : It's not a free roam sandbox game. I don't think I've been owned here. No matter what you perceive as an open world game Alan Wake is not, even the lead developer said that.

Do you have a source to that claim?

PAL360

Able to explore =/= open world. The original concept was total freedom, which they abandoned when the game started developing on the 360. And what kind of tone is that you're pretty insulting you know.

[QUOTE="Revan_911"][QUOTE="delta3074"]i will put my faith in what the devs are actually saying, if they say it's a sandbox game, then obviously it is, backup your claims or give up, the gauntlet has been layed before youdelta3074
That's from EDGE's last year interview with Sam Lake. If remedy doesn't change the concept of the game every five minutes i would take his word for it. it's not a free-roaming sandboox

LAST YEAR, thanks for playing

Those FAQ answers people are posting over 4 years old.

[QUOTE="delta3074"][QUOTE="Revan_911"][QUOTE="Tessellation"] dont bother with someone that doesn't even back up his claims.

The game was originally announced as having a large open world to explore. Is that still the case? We did try a more free-roaming approach at one point but decided that's not really the way we wanted to go. We want to deliver a good story and a good thriller and create the best possible rollercoaster ride through the game for the player. So the story is the means that guides the player through the game and through the game world. That being said, this path that the player is on is quite wide at times and all through the game there is a lot for the player to explore, but it's not a free-roaming sandbox.

[QUOTE="Revan_911"][QUOTE="Tessellation"] Alan Wake is a free-roaming game, will there be parts of the map to unlock? "We'll open more of the game world as the game progresses. The area is so large, that we want the players to become familiar with a smaller subset of the world, before we introduce new locations and new areas." - Sam Lake Are there alternate methods to completing the missions? "The basic idea with the free-roaming world is that we give the player goals, and then the player can go about achieving those goals in the way he chooses." - Sam Lake try harder.Bus-A-Bus

That's from an FAQ that is three years old. Remedy made a later statement that Open World doesn't fit the story and that Alan Wake will be more linear than open world. (If you ask me that's an excuse because they couldn't get it to run on the 360 )

Yeah that looks more impressive. Guess I'm underestimating the PS3.

[QUOTE="AAllxxjjnn"]

Well, yeh, because that's UC1.

AAllxxjjnn

No im pretty sure it's UC 2

heres the link

http://media.industrygamers.com/editorial/2009/06/uncharted2.jpg

You don't fight pirates (enemy shown in that picture) in Uncharted 2, you fight this guy Lazarevic's military.

Ok then, my bad im sorry, i just don't know why it says UC2 and 2009 in that link, kind of misleading.

[QUOTE="Tessellation"][QUOTE="Revan_911"][QUOTE="Tessellation"] It's the developer comfirmed it,please don't make up lies.

No they didn't...
