Umm....We're talking about first playthrough buddy. MGS4 in first playthrough is 20 to 25 hours.

I beat it in 18 and if you remove all the cutscenes it will take away hours of the game, fable 2 is confirmed to have 3-5 minutes of cutscenes all the other stuff is gameplay and interaction with the world. Also there will be alot of sidequests and stuff to do, oblivion had such a short main quest but I got like 40 hours of gameplay out of it on my pc. Also Mass Effect was short but that didn't stop it from having an awesome story.

If your going to throw crap at a game atleast inform yourselfs of its contents before doing that. Its the same like if I start to bash LittleBigPlanet for having similar gameplay to mario, not much of an argument is it?

Calm down....MGS4 has 7 hours of cutscenes. That quite less than half of the game. But since you like to rush games why bother? I love to take my sweet time with the game and enjoy it.

I am calm and I didn't rush mgs4 becouse I am a mgs fan and I like all mgs games. I just don't see the need to buy other weapons than the custom m16 that drebin gives me and just upgrade it later in the game, you get all the other weapons you need while playing anyway.

Also the gameplay is more action this time around so I really didn't see a point in trying to hide and run from the enemy if they spotted me. Finally where did I say the cutscene's take half of the game? And no matter how you look at it 7 hours of cutscene's is still alot and thats why only fans of the series like me and you like the game.

To tell the truth i'd rather play a game that has great gameplay and not so much of a story than a game with good story and averege or less gameplay. Thats why me and some of my irl friends think Ninja Gaiden 1 and 2 are awesome, the game dosen't depend on its story at all instead it offers the best gameplay you can see in a action game, and thats what action games really need great gameplay.

But now that I mention it I guess every genre is different action games need great gameplay but i'm also a rpg fan and most rpg's lack great gameplay but still have a awesome story and they immerse you like no other game can. Oh and I think fable2 will have a great story and great gameplay you can quote me on that.

Another example are fighting games their story isn't deep nor is it great and most of the fans don't play them so they can see what kind of storyline the game has they just play it for the sheer fun and gameplay, atleast thats how I am with street fighter 3 and thats how i'l be when street fighter 4 comes out.

Bottom line is that I think every genre is different and needs something different to be good.

Yeah I agree with you and I don't see a bright future for tecmo if Koei has some kind of influance on their games.

Actually Itagaki is what was keeping team ninja at the top with ninja gaiden and doa. Those games would have been something completely different witouth him onboard. And also when itagaki left some of team ninja's members left with him, why do you think that happend?

Also gore wasn't made for the sake of gore in ninja gaiden 2 and i'm suprised you say that since you have played the game, gore in the game has a direct impact on gameplay and the enemies. Itagaki may be whatever he likes in person its not like I care the important thing is he makes great games and thats what counts.
