No matter what I'd have to drown myself after about 4 or so miles of misery.

Haha, tipping makes me laugh.

Its a straaaaaaaaaaaaaange American only custom, anyone who asks me for a tip can kiss my ass. I've worked that line of work before and never gotten a tip, probably because if you asked for a tip in my country you'd get a hook in the ball sack; but thats not really important.

So you didn't leave a tip? Haha! Good one! Thats sure to leave a lasting hurt on the poor little waiter.

Cmon damnit, get his ass fired! He deserves it for getting caught not washing his hands. I mean, I NEVER wash my hands at my work unless the manager or his cronies are looking, but I don't get caught; and it doesn't matter if you don't get caugh don't ya know?

By the way, what is the rate for tipping? Is it 20%? I can't remember the figure. Oh, and do you have to tip for all types of service? Like if you buy an item/appliance/object at a store do you need to tip the cashier/salesman? If so thats F'd up.

RKfromDownunder

You fail. LOTS of countries tip, it's usually automatically added to the bill. And, if you would have read the whole thread, waiters and waitresses make WAY below minimum wage, they live off tips. Also, I highlighted the part of your post that makes you disgusting.

i know i dont need a gf but it seems like i feel good about myself with one *yikes that sounds arrogant* and

im not trying to be funny here it isnt a joke.. but ive been gone every week for a month every month we have been dating (sense february) and it wasnt until this month we started fighting so i think i have caught her at the wrong time of the month.. this is no joke

riseagnstfan

Doesn't sound arrogant at all, it's totally natural that you feel better about yourself when you have a girlfriend, it's a big status thing that society pushes on all of us. It could possibly be her PMS rampage... how long have you two been dating? Have you been fighting often all along? More importantly, what do you like about this girl? Do you have anything in common?

thats actually what im thinking..we have been dating for 5 months and this is the 2nd time we have fought this month and we never had b4.. i like her personality a lot *when shes not *****y* and we have a lot of things in common like sports, music, personalities, and a lot of other stuff

If that's the case then I'd talk to her and work it out. 5 months without a fight isn't too bad, I'm sure she'll get over it.

You can't change your mind now!

Scroll up to the fourth post (mine), I didn't change my mind. It was a typo- I'm tired.

Well considering the original story wasn't me, no I wasn't and no, I wasn't talking about only at Denny's. Are you trying to tell me that just because the food is more expensive somewhere that I should be tipping someone who simply brings me the food more? Sure they split tips up but what's saying they won't pocket it, or rip off everyone else. I don't think it matters where you're eating you shouldn't have to tip. The more expensive the food, the more expensive the owner is, and to me that means the more they can pay their employees. Then the fact about how it seems EVERY waiter thinks they're entitled to a tip, and give you a dirty look when you don't.

Scarface_tm431

Well, someone's obviously never been a waiter. These people make NO money at all, they live off tips. Sure, the more expensive places can pay their employees more but they don't! What's wrong with you, Mr. Pink?

Waiters get taxed for tips, even if you don't leave them one.

Basically, if you ate where I worked often, and you didn't tip, you would get horrible service from me.

WildLIkeChild

This is the kind of attitude I mean, look what tipping has created. If you don't like what you're getting paid why not go hassle your boss like everyone else has to? If they don't budge then get a new job. I have to deal with tons of angry customers throughout a day, and have to do what they want for the most part to keep them happy. I can't be an ass to a customer just because I know I'm not getting a tip. I can't be selective out of regulars as to how I'm going to treat them, and not many other people really can if they'd like to keep their jobs

Hassle your boss? Where do you work? At places like Denny's, hassling your boss to give you a raise would likely give you a terrible work schedule, loss of hours, and possibly getting fired. Waiters won't be jerks to regulars that don't tip, because they will get fired for it, but they certianly won't bend over backwards to make sure they're served in a timely manner.

yea ur rite.. i just know that if in the fight we end up breaking up.. i am going to be depressed for a long time because no matter how much **** she gives me she it somehow seems like one of the best things 2 happen to me because she says she wants to be with me and makes me happy when this isnt going on

riseagnstfan

It's an odd thing, but you only ever focus on the good things while you're dating. After you two split, you're going to realize how crappy things really were. When you get a better girl, that doesn't make you feel like garbage you're really going to realize how much time you wasted.

i feel like i wont get anyone else though i have such low confidence and self esteem when it comes to girls.. it seems like all the girls i do end up talking 2 and becoming friends with r already dating someone

This is going to be a hard concept to embrace, but try it. If you do, you're life will be million times better. STOP TRYING. You don't NEED a girlfriend. Sure, a girl is nice to have around, but you don't NEED it. When you stop trying, the right girl will approach YOU. Not only this, but when you strip away the prospect of dating from your mind you will begin to have a MUCH easier time talking to girls, your shyness will slowly vanish. My wife approached me, and she's the best thing that's ever happened to me.
