80%+ of creatures on this earth do not jointly raise offspring, from insects to humans. I personally wouldnt leave my kid hanging, but not everyone thinks the same. Especially an 18 year old who probably is working at some fastfood joint..... if that.daniel52587

You once again lack reason. So the 18 year old man doesn't make much money, probably working a dead end job. What's the 19 year old mom doing? I highly doubt she has a high paying job, and now she has a child so she doesn't even have the time to work 40 hours a week. As for the "creatures on this earth," that's hardly a valid point. Insects don't require health care, store bought food, clothing, time, and energy. Humans do. If you think you're mature enough to have sex then you'd better be damn sure you're mature enough to be a father. Enough said.

[QUOTE="VanHelsingBoA64"]I love how everyone is jumping down his throat whenever he's just asking for the worst case scenario...VanHelsingBoA64

Read his post more carefully, he stated "I mean would i have to pay child support or something? cause that would make no sense, we are not married and we didn't agree to commit to anything." That is exactly why people, myself included, are 'jumping down his throat.'

So, telling him to "grow some balls" is justifiable, since he does not share the same moral and judicial views as most people here?

And most posts telling him to "grow some balls" are assuming that she is already pregnant and that he is coward. This could or could not be the case, but there are quite a number of assuming posts.

I'm really hoping you're simply playing devil's advoate here. First off, read through my posts and you'll get the point. I never used the terminology "grow some balls." And not sharing the same moral and judicial views as me? Dude, if he knocks up a chick HOW can you POSSIBLY say it's okay for him to just bounce, leave the kid and the mom? Find another thread to play Devil's Advocate, it won't work here.

I have a question? Should....or wait....why is it that woman have more right when i comes to abortion than the man in the relationship? All points of view welcome.

aronmauk

Because the woman is the one carrying the child, it's only right. Would you like it if it was your wife's choice to get your appendix removed? Didn't think so...

So let me ask this. What if it was the other way around from what it usually is. The woman wants the abortion but the father wants to keep it. Take complete custody of the child?Does the mother still have the right to murder the child?

Yes, she does. It's within the man's power to try and persuade her otherwise, but in the end it's her call.

Please explain how in any realm of moral thought that is justifiable.

I thought I already did. The woman is carrying the child, it is part of her. It was a mutual decision to have sex, and she became pregnant. It is in no way the man's decision to have the child aborted, it's part of her. As for the other way around, the woman wanting an abortion and the man not wanting her to, it's a difficult situation, but still her call. Like I said before, how would you like it if your wife decided to have your appendix removed? Or you really wanted to keep your wisdom teeth, but she decided they're coming out. What then? See my point yet?

[QUOTE="OneWingedAngeI"]

only problem is, "child support" turns out to actually be getting mommy's hair and nails done or the like. young children are not expensive at all. nowhere near the amount of money the courts unjustly decide should go to the mother. child support in itself is so wrong. the idea is good, but the implementation is horrible.darklord888

Yeah I'm sure a single mother can just go off everyday to get her hair and nails done.

And seriously young children are not expensive? wtf? Food, nappies, medicine, maybe day-care, toys, bed, clothes, primary school. Yeah totally cheap. Jesus that is the worst comment I have ever seen on here.

I'll second that.

[QUOTE="bkno4u"]I've been saying I'll never smoke since I was able to say it...I've never broken that promise....'course, I never said anything about drinking and drugs....

I've also said I would never watch anime....stuck with that one so far too.

Said I would never listen to rap..............stuck with that one (more or less)

Said I would never wear band T-shirts........didnt stick with this one.

Sooo many others I cant remember.shaza91

Why not listen to rap? And please don't say it's all about gangsta's and hoes, because you just invalidated your opinion on it.

::ahem:: I believe that's "gangstz and hos"

This is why you don't have sex with someone you wouldn't marry.SuperVegeta518

No, this is why you use protection and be an adult if the potential consequences become real.
