If you want to beat a dead horse for no apparant reason, take it to Youtube. Sonic Spot is supposed to be a union for clean discussion not a device for pointless insults.

Actually Unleashed (at least the good half) and Chronicles are accepted here as well as Riders. The only flat out turds that we flame people for liking are Sonic Next Gen and Shadow.

I thought we hated Riders? Maybe that one's just me.
[QUOTE="Cloud_765"][QUOTE="sonicphc"]Did not care for the boss fights myself. They were all pathetically easy, and just not fun.sonicphc
I disagree on this point to an extent. Some of the bosses were entertaining, like the Egg Hawk and Egg Albatross. But others like the "Storm" bosses were not much of an actual boss at all, and the Egg Emperor was an annoying ****** that just generally screwed you over at any given opportunity. Many time fighting him I was IN THE AIR and he'd charge at me, so I could die by falling to my death.
Premature deaths like that make me want to throw my controller out the window and hope it hits my annoying neighbor (of which I dunno my neighbors, it's just part of my analogy or whatever you call this).
I will take this opportunity to further disagree with you. Egg Hawk was painfully simple. Wait a while, use power. Dead. Yeah, there was all this "Oh, let's slow him down by taking out the wings" stuff, but it wasn't necessary, seeing as you could kill it at the first beach by pounding B. Egg Albatross suffered the same problem, except it could be defeated by repeatedly hitting A with speed set. The homing attack would just keep chasing it until it hit, over and over. I can kill the whole thing with only touching the ground twice. Egg Emperor suffers the same fate... AGAIN, except this time you equip fly and hammer B until you get the team blast, which you use, and then you go back to equipping fly and hammering B.They were all pretty pathetic. Everybody could be beaten by starting a homing attack and mashing the A button continuously. The only remotely challenging boss of the game was the Egg Emperor and the only reason he was harder than the others is because he forced you to stay 3 ft. in front of him at all times.
Well sony did it with the playstation and so did microsoft with the xbox. so i dont see why sega cant reenter

Beyond the fact that Sony and Microsoft were newcomers and not defeated veterans,
Money, free development time, a history of comercial hardware faliures, a recent reputation for little to no quality control in game development; if anything putting out a new console would bankrupt them before it's even released.
i think sega should come back into the console market and simultaneously make a very good sonic game and release them at the same time. i would definitly buy a sega console if it came out and they could make remakes of the shenmue game and maybe even the third one.joynul
Great idea, now all they have to do is pull the millions of dollars and years of time out of their ass to do it and we're set.
[QUOTE="chocolate1325"]I actually thought both were amazing games far from the best Sonic games though like Sonic CD but better than most of the other 3D Sonic games that came out. Also Unleashed in my opinon is overatted. Why do people consider it the best 3D Sonic game in years Secret of the Rings was better.kbaily
Well as I said Unleashed got a lot of things right. I mean remove the werehog and you get what a 3D Sonic game should've been. I mean, there were minimal friends poking in, the music was rather well done. The story felt more like a Saturday morning cartoon than a bad anime.
But everyone whines about Secret Rings saying "I can't control Sonic! He doesn't stop! I can't use an analog stick." Old school gamers stuck in their ways and stubborn to change. Stopping in Secret Rings was done by holding down the 1 and 2 buttons which was told to you in the tutorial stages and anyone who just took the time to learn it like you and me chocolate, knew how good it was. Of course the other half of the Secret Rings haters are the retard fringe who decided it automatically sucked because you only played as Sonic and Shadow didn't stick his ass into the story.
Of course there's all those going on about how the 360/PS3 version of Unleashed were better because of the pretty graphics and we all know games can't be good unless they're full of bloom lighting effects and they make us shell out hundreds to go plasma. And some can't understand why the Wii version got higher scores. Sure you get a better ratio of Sonic to werehog stages in the 360/PS3 (why the hell did Sega cut Mazuri and Empire City in the Wii version anyway?) but that was counteracted by the annyoing town missions you had to do in between just to advance. As I said, if I wanted to do annoying fetch quests, I'll go play World of Warcraft. I play Sonic games to go fast.
The Town missions weren't mandatory, they just gave you bonuses that you could earn in the actual stages. The only noticeable difference between the versions is hunting for the Sun and Moon Medals in the HD version. Other than that drawback, I prefered the 360 version to the PS2 version because despite falling on its face, the game upped the ante. It was more frustrating when it slows down but more satisfying when it gets down to doing what it does best. The Standard Def versions had worse Werehog controls but the game as a whole, just felt phoned in.
why is it that everyone keeps saying that SEGA needs to take a break with Sonic or that SEGA needs to at least take their time with Sonic and then when it actually looks like that's what they're doing, everyone's like "what's up with no sonic games? I require a new sonic game every 6 months!" yadda yadda...whoozwah
What he said.
