@hackerrei But people will also be more selective about what NEW games they will buy too, knowing that they can't sell it on if it's not a keeper. This will push games studios to only make games that will be 10/10 for everyone, putting pressure on them and probably changing the face of new titles. Any long running games with similar game play (Fifa, Racing games) will be abandoned with the worry that consumers won't bother. I think, looking at the bigger picture, gaming will change drastically for everyone.
Practically all of the games I buy are second-hand and I hate having to fork over £40+ for a new game.
But what is most important here is how this will affect businesses. Blockbuster and HMV are already screwed - think all of the other shops that would close down too. The job loses would be staggering.
Big tobacco, Big Pharmaceutics, now Big Gaming? I know I'm exaggerating but I hope it doesn't go down this road.
@kiramasaki That's a bit harsh. Ok, fair play, The Bodyguard was crap but the fighting in Ong-Bak was sublime and who cares about storyline in martial arts films? I just want to see some excellent kung fu. For instance, Expendables has far too much storyline and not enough violence.
But anyway, this isn't about the film, doesn't matter if the film was good, it was popular so of course someone's going to cash in and make a game on it.
And I completely agree - this game is going to be S#!T.
Thank the gods that man has no children..... So he's saying that everytime a parent buys their kid a video game, they are letting their children be molested? Somebody PLEASE sue him.
