Looks like more of the same, but truly online. If you enjoyed the base game I can see this giving people a reason to come back but personally...? I still think the same as I did before the game came out. There's a whole lot of exciting things to look at but not much to really do. Doing nothing, but with friends, doesn't sound much better to me.
Without a narrative or side activities or something I can't see this going any differently than the first time.
At this point they may as well be lazy and make it another battle royale game. I don't even like battle royale games but a space battle royale comprised of multiple, randomly generated planets? That actually sounds fun.
@Fartman7998: Not really an option for... You know... Kids. A LARGE portion of the Pokemon fanbase. Plus, even as an adult, not everyone has time and money to go traveling an hour or more into the city for a game. Even if you did, the point is to encourage exercise, not driving.
I would argue that it's racially insensitive to create temporary characters (because we all know this will never last) just to garner attention from minority readers. If you really want to make a strong, black character be my guest, but make them their own original character. Not a side show you're going to ditch in a few months.
@joshrmeyer: The main appeal and reason for the cost is the touchscreen, it's incredibly precise and has pressure sensitivity that really only benefits artists, graphic designers, etc.
If you're not one of those people who would benefit from that DO NOT buy it. I have a SP3, love it, but I'm also an amateur artist that benefits from the touch screen.
@Frogster8: The main appeal is the touchscreen. Great for artists, graphic designers, etc who don't want to be tethered to a desktop and want more efficiency than having to use a m&kb on a laptop.
@Mirimon78: Overpriced, but yeah, I agree. I have a SP3 and love it, but it's not something that appeals to everyone and a lot of people seem to think it sucks without even considering they aren't part of the target audience.
@jenovaschilld: Not everyone wants to be tethered down to do their graphic design, photo editing, etc. Also, I seriously doubt a $239 tablet plays "any game imaginable" unless we're talking mobile games.
"The Figueroa has also been used to advertise GTA V."
Something tells me this probably wasn't a mistake... But I guess "Hotel features picture of a game it has helped advertise before" wouldn't get as much attention. Gotta have those clickbait titles GameSpot... Don'tcha?
I'd need to see more gameplay, but that boss fight seemed pretty Megaman-ish. I don't mind if it's not exactly the same, it's not supposed to be, but as a spiritual successor it should be similar. From what I can see, it is, but maybe that's just because only some parts of it is.
I'm willing to give it a shot.
Edit: Although I'd rather see it on a handheld platform, like the 3DS.
