Today I went to play a Infamous on my PS3, I put the disk in and nothing happened. The system just doesn't appear to be recognising that there is a disk in it. It will read movies (dvds, not sure about blu rays). But not games. I put a bunch of different games in and nothing worked. What I was wondering, was is there a way to back up all of my saved games. I went to Gamestop and they told me there is no memory card for the PS3. I can probably get the system working again, but it might be at the cost of losing all of my saved files. Is there something else I can do? Any help would be much appreciated.

I'm just going to use this as an example. I've played both of these games in their entirety and enjoyed them both. So before you start calling me a fanboy or something, just understand that. Also, I'm sure I'm going to be getting a bunch of "if you don't like it, then leave" statements here. I'm not complaining, I'm not bashing any games, I'm just pointing out something and asking if anyone else notices this.
Again, just an example. Mass Effect got an 8.5. It got points deducted for pop ins and framerate problems. I don't necessarily have a huge problem with that. However, the same reviewer turned around and gave No More Heroes a 9.0. That game didn't exactly have great visuals, even by Wii standards. I've honestly seen games that looked better on the PS2, and they ran better as well. NMH had framerate drops regularly. NMH also had fairly severetexture pop ins at times. NMH did have exciting gameplay, don't get me wrong. However, when looking at these two games, it just seems like there are double standards there. I've seen this happen with various other games as well, but I just thought this was a good example.
Anyone else have any thoughts?
You're complaining that he said good luck topping it? What about when gamespot said the only problem with MGS4 was that itscampaignended? What about when they gave GTA4 a 10? IMO, NO GAME should ever get 10. All of the fanboys (for all 3 systems)are such idiots. LOL at all of you!

MASS EFFECT 2 (I know it's on PC but I still wanna put this is)- 9.0
Sony:
M.A.G. -8.5
White Knight Chronicles -7.5
God of War 3 -9.0
Gran Turismo 5 -9.0
Heavy Rain -8.0
Modnation Racers -8.5

Nintendo:

I think that PS3 fans have the right to be excited about the fact that their system finally has some momentum going. Either way, every system has a bad year. This year was bad for the 360. The whole first year and a half was really tough for PS3 owners. And let's face it, the Wii hasn't had a good game since may of last year when they got Mario Kart. I think Microsoft put out Halo games this year to hold people over for next year. Next year is going to be crazy for games. And when I say that, I mean for all 3 systems! :)
If the list you gave is the list of games you already own, I would suggest looking into these.
If you like RPGS:
Oblivion, Mass Effect
Shooters:
Halo 3:ODST
Adventure Games:
Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts, Kameo
RTS
Halo Wars (not for it's single player though)
A few other non-exclusive suggestions
Bioschock, Batman: Arkham Asylum, The Orange Box, Resident Evil 5
I was just wondering if someone could tell me how many assignments this DLC was made up of. I think that BDTS had like 5 or something like that. I'd like to get the character achievements and I just wanted to know how much this would help. Thanks!
The problem though with the Wii, is the fact that it's games don't really have much in the way of quality. I'll give you that the 360 and PS3 could use more games with imagination, but I'd rather have a system that had good quality shooters, and less variety, than have a system that had variety without quality games.
Now before people begin calling me a fanboy or something, I have a Wii, and I own what I believe are the best games. I have Mario Galaxy (one of my favorite games ever), Metroid Prime (very high quality game), Smash Bros, and Mario Kart. I think that there are a small handfull of good games on the system other than these. Beyond them, the Wii's lineup is unfortunately not one many hardcore gamers can take seriously.
I do think that the Wii has alot of promise though. It does seem to have some good games coming out in the not too distant future. With new Mario games, Metroid, Zelda, No More Heroes, I'm not by any means saying the Wii is a terrible system, I'm just saying I don't think that many of the non-nintendo games are even worth considering.
I'm personally of the opinion that NO GAME should ever get a perfect review. There's always something more a game can do. I'm not saying that reviewers have to find every little flaw and cry about it, but I just think calling a game perfect is stupid. GTA4, that was a great game, but it's gameplay still was filled with problems. It was a major step up over the previous games, and it's multiplayer really didn't have the lasting appeal that I thought it would. MGS4, was also a great game, but it too had some minor gameplay flaws. These flaws are nothing worth making a big deal out of, I just think games can always be better. Am I the only one that feels this way about AAAA reviews? I wasn't meaning to bash any of the games I just mentioned, I liked both of them, but I don't think they deserved 10s.
