This was one of my Christmas presents, and it was a pretty decent game. I beat this last weekend. Even though it was about a quarter as short as the original Far Cry, it's still solid, though in my opinion isn't quite as good as its PC counterpart.
I ordered this game from GameExpress.com, because it's nearly impossible to find it anywhere - online or in stores. Just to reiterate this, I don't have a GameCube, but I'm gonna get a Wii soon. For those who'd like to know, it was sealed in it's original box with all the original wrapping and instruction manual, etc. I did have to pay $24.99 for it though, but I'm sure it'll be worth it.
This is another game that I ordered from GameExpress.com, I got it on the same day that I got RE3 on (yesterday), and it was perfectly new, just like RE3 was. Yeah, it's pretty rare to find this in stores in its original condition, so I'm really starting to admire the website that I ordered these two games from. I beat this within 24 hours of receiving it; the 10 mission campaign is much easier/shorter than that of the original Rainbow Six 3 for Xbox, but yet it was still well worth the $16.99 I payed for it.
This was another one of my Christmas presents. This one was about half as short as Far Cry Instincts, which is about a quarter as short as the original Far Cry, so that makes this an eighth as short as the original Far Cry, lol. I beat the game today. But I still thought it was a fairly decent game. Definitely pick it up if you liked FCI.
I saw this game at Blockbuster today NEW for the low price of $9.99, and I said "Sure, why not." So I bought it, but I haven't gotten a chance to play it yet because I just finished Far Cry Instincts Evolution, and since then I've been writing this blog.
The Thing
I saw this game used but in good condition (Still had the original box and boxart) for $4.99 at Blockbuster today, and so along with R6:CH, I decided to buy it, but like R6:CH, I haven't gotten a chance to play it yet except the first five minutes of the game, cause right after I beat FCIE, I've been writing this blog.
Anyway, that's just what's been going on in my gaming world lately.

Number of times killed: 55
Clear time: 33:16'00"
I finished this game about a week ago, I just haven't gotten a chance to make a blog about it until now.
lol....that's not my actual clear time, cause often times I'd have the game on pause, (either at the inventory or options screen) and I think that counted towards my total time...so I'd shave off probably.....5 hours due to that.
But yeah, this was definitely one of those games that I was playing like all day....for hours at a time, and I'm SO glad I picked it up, it was an excellent purchase. It's been a long time since I've played a game that's had me as hooked as this one, the story was just splendidly captivating, about on par with Metal Gear Solid 2 & 3.
Ranking: E
Total Time: 17:05:16
Number of Saves: 26
Number of Retries: 21
I beat this game this weekend.
Overall, I'd have to say that this was a really excellent game. I thoroughly enjoyed every second of it. The puzzle solving, the shooting, and most of all.... THE STORY!!!! I love the storylines of all the Resident Evil games, they are just so... gripping!
Of course, I had to use a walkthrough, cause I'm not good at figuring stuff out like where to go, etc.
This is a great purchase for any Resident Evil fan, especially since it's so cheap nowadays.
What do you guys think: Smart Move or Dumb Move?

So, today, I ask my mom if we can go to EB games and Wal-Mart, because there are a couple games I'd like to get. She agrees, and takes me to EB games first. So I go in there, and ask for that Resident Evil 10th Anniversary Collection thing that's only for the GameCube, (I don't have a GameCube by the way) and my mom realizes that I don't have a GameCube. We buy it anyway, but then when she gets in the car, she chews me out about "how stupid it is to buy games for a system you don't even have," while I'm trying to explain to her that I'm going to buy a Wii within a month or two, and that the Wii is backwards compatible with the GameCube. Even after I explain this in detail, she still says it's the most idiotic thing she's ever heard of. I just don't understand how she doesn't understand the reason I bought it. I mean, the guy at EB games even said it was the last copy left.
So what do you guys think, was it a well thought out purchase? Or was it a "waste of money"?
Anyway, after that, we went over to Wal-Mart and I bought Resident Evil 4 for the PS2 (just so I'll be able to play the game until I get a Wii), SOCOM 3, and the second Resident Evil movie: Resident Evil Apocalypse.
Merry Christmas Everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!

Earlier tonight, I went over to my blockbuster to see if they had Adam Sandler's 8 Crazy Nights. (I haven't seen it, but want to because tonight is the first night of Hannukah, and it's a Hannukah movie. I'm not Jewish though, by the way.) I couldn't find it there, but I did, however, find this. I still haven't gotten a chance to play it yet, but I intend to later tonight. I've heard a lot of good stuff about it though, and I remember I went over to my cousin's house one time and saw him play it (this was like 4 or 5 years ago) and I was like, "Hey! That's looks like a really cool game! I ought to get that some time." But I haven't had a chance to until now.
Unfortunately, it didn't come with the instruction booklet or the Devil May Cry demo disc, but hey, that's what you get for buying it pre-owned for $6.99.
Well, that's it! I'll post a first impressions blog of it sometime later this week. I'm off to go play it now.
Far Cry, PWNT! Call of Duty: Finest Hour, PWNT!

Yeah, I got this game for my birthday on August 3rd of this year, and I gotta say, it was a great present. I beat it Thursday night, and it's one of the best games I've played on the PC. An absolutely great story, with awesome graphics to go with it. AND, fluid gameplay. What more could you ask for.
Another game that I received for my birthday, I beat it today. It was a solid shooter. Not as good as the PC Call of Dutys, but still worthy of the Call of Duty title. The graphics aren't THAT great, but they are still passable. The gameplay is pretty good too. And, it does a good retelling of some famous WWII battles.
Two great games that I'd definitely pick up if I were you.
My First Visit to Raccoon City

I went back to Blockbuster a couple hours ago to see if they still had these games in stock, and it turns out they did!!!!!!!!! So I picked up both of these for $15 each. Which is a pretty good deal considering they were both pre-owned. My only gripe so far is that the first one didn't come with the instruction book, but hey, at least GS made a game guide for that one. The second one came with an instruction book, but GS didn't write a game guid for that one, so it kind of balances out I guess.
Yeah, I haven't really gotten a chance to play these yet due to homework, but I'm going to as soon as I finish this blog.
Alright, I'll make a first impressions blog of the first one next weekend when I've gotten to play it a good bit. That's all for now, I'm off to go try out this game.
SOCOM II, Here I Come!
by Rocker500 on Comments
So yeah, I finally beat this awesome game today, and I have to say, it is one of the greatest tactical squad-based shooters I have ever played.
I first started it in the summer of 2004, and I got to Mission 8, and then my bro took the PS2 off to college with him. But he decided he didn't have enough time to play it after a while, so he brought it back home this September. Then, I started playing it a little bit again, and then I finally beat the game today.
Yeah, I can't wait till Christmas, cause I think I'll get SOCOM II. (I put it on my list)
By the way, do you guys know if SOCOM: Combined Assault is any good?
''I Hear Those Cop Sirens Again...''

I went to my local Blockbuster yesterday to see if there was anything there that I liked, and I narrowed it down to this, Mission Impossible: Operation Surma ($17), and both Resident Evil: Outbreak games($15 each). Eventually, I just decided to get this, because MI:OS didn't look too great, and both RE:O games would've costed $30, while this alone costed only $20. I just hope they still have the RE:O games the next time I go there, cause I really want them too.
But anyway, I've played about 10 hours of this game, and I gotta say, I'm pretty impressed. To me, it's just as good as Vice City.
It's basically all you ever wanted to be in GTA3 that was in GTAVC, if that makes any sense.
For instance, there are motorcycles, and different guns of each weapon type.
The radio is still okay I guess, but the only station I listen to is LCFR, (Liberty City Freedom Radio) which is basically Chatterbox from GTAIII, but in addition to Laslo, there is a "Good Ol' Boy" called Nurse Bob, who helps out with relationship problems, some British guy, some Hispanic guy, some punk guy, and a valley girl who also host the talk show, each getting their own time to host. Overall, the radio feature isn't as good as Vice City's, because there isn't a really good rock station, like VROCK. There isn't even an alternative rock station, it's all soft rock, reggae, rap, and other crap.
I haven't played the PSP version, so I can't speak for that, but definitely pick this up if you're a GTA fan with a PS2.
The Classic Trilogy Has Finally Been Beaten by Me!

Well, I got this game pack in summer of 2005. I didn't beat any of them until February 2006, which was when I beat Splinter Cell. Then, around May 2006, I beat Ghost Recon. And now, finally, I've beaten Rainbow Six 3.
I feel like I've really accomplished something.
