And well deserved. Epic put 2 1/2 years into Gears of war 3 and it came out as a polished to hell, buttery smooth master piece. It does exactly what it supposed to do in all aspects. Unlike MW3 or BF3, which aren't near as polished.Excuse me, but both of these games totally dances around Gears 3 in the technical department. That's probably the reason why Gears seems so polished compared to the 2. As a matter of fact, MW3 give BF3 a better run in technicalities than Gears 3 can any day. MW3 have more going on, and still maintain a steady 60 frames, while BF3 have much more going on, with maps that are like 5 times bigger, with vehicles, and destructible enviorments, not to mention that both games offers more players in a single session than Gears 3 does. Here, read this if you don't think Gears of war 3 is a technically outstanding game. It's not mine, but posted by someone who was doing a technical analysis regarding Gears of war 3 vs. Uncharted 3. Back it up if you're going to post that kind of garbage. GRAPHICS First, Gears of war 3 handles far more enemies on the screen; evidence below. http://i1236.photobucket.com/albums/ff448/Darkener33/16enemies.png And this is simply humanoid meshes, Gears also handles a variety of much larger enemy meshes; evidence below. http://i1236.photobucket.com/albums/ff448/Darkener33/Horde1.jpg Not only that, but Gears of war 3 uses a far superior lighting system known as "global illumination" along with god beams where light literally bounces of surrounding surfaces which is a far more realistic technique then Uncharted 3 uses. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KdRZBfslkfw And of course with have facial detail, Gears blows Uncharted 3 away when it comes to this. You'd be inane to claim Uncharted 3 hosts superior details after seeing the pictures posted below. http://i1236.photobucket.com/albums/ff448/Darkener33/Comparision.png Then there's textures in general, once more; not even a comparison http://i1236.photobucket.com/albums/ff448/Darkener33/Comparison.jpg You can't forget particle effects. This one doesn't have nearly the difference as other comparisons, though Gears etches Uncharted 3 out of the win. For instance, when you throw a smoke grenade in Gears of war 3 it slowly has accumulation around other objects and blankets them. Uncharted 3s particle effects disarm and are gone within moments. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Jws7YEmdII --- Weather effects (Gears of war 3) http://i1236.photobucket.com/albums/ff448/Darkener33/Gears9.png --- Water effects... You could say Gears of war 3 has inferior detail, I disagree. For instance you can actually see blood accumulate on the armored Kantus' spikes when he's near death. A small detail, much like when they raise before he rolls. There quite equal. http://i1236.photobucket.com/albums/ff448/Darkener33/Untitled.png --- Blood accumulation. http://i1236.photobucket.com/albums/ff448/Darkener33/Untitled-1.png --- Spikes risen. And there you have it, debate me if you wish. All these pictures were personally taken by me. Oh one more thing, animation. I feel both are equal, and rightfully so. Since both Gears of war 3 and Uncharted 3 use motion capture; though they present different overall styles. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nUL5kuWlHzE --- Gears of war 3 [Brumak Motion Capture] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LnPJQPRCcmE --- Uncharted 3 [General Motion Capture][QUOTE="RoflCopteryy"][QUOTE="Cherokee_Jack"]
Let me guess, they were paid by Activision.
Unlike GS, who weren't paid by Activision when they gave GOW3 best shooter, but TOTALLY WERE when they gave MW3 an 8.5

Is a friggin' screen tear smorgasbord. I mean, wow. Was over at my brother in laws and especially when turning, the screen ripped like a wet piece of paper. Sorry, but I'll stick with my PS3 version. After the patch, the frame rate issue is almost non existent. Still a freeze once in a while, but man, that takes a back seat to the mess I witnessed that is the 360 version.ispeakfactHorrible troll is horrible. Due to the lack of v-sync the X-box 360 doesn't have input lag issues, ironically. Of course, due to this; the PS3 does have these issues. Gears of war 2 had over 50% tearing, and I hardly noticed it. Games that disable v-sync to reduce input lag like Gears of war 3 and Skyrim are developed and better optimized to achieve often a 5% amount of tear. Which is near impossible to notice in motion, even when your looking for it.
If they drop combat entirely, I might give it a chance. UC3 featured some of the worst gunplay i've ever encountered in a TPS besides UC1. Then you have melee which is mechanically sound but comes off as tame after playing Batman AC. MFDOOM1983In general it was medicore, what made it worse was the terrible animation polish included in it.
How about we start at the fact the shooting mechanic was broken? Or that only half of ND worked on it with a mere 2 year development time, and by such admitting it was basically rushed. I could go on...Dare you go over even one flaw in detail? Or do you dare not because you haven't played it?

[QUOTE="RoflCopteryy"]I'm curious, I've played Dead rising 1 at my friends house. He tells me it's a lot better then two. And two was a failure, but Dead rising 1 was a lot of fun? So which one.SPYDER0416
First of all, get new friends.
Second of all, both are good, but DR2 is significantly better. AI that isn't dumb as balls, a MUCH higher zombie count, more weapons, improved difficulty balancing, etc.
But since DR1 is like $5 and Dead Rising 2 is like $20, I don't see why you don't buy both.
He's said Dead rising 2 is far more tedious, though he also says the games in general are limited with the time limit.
