Still, at its core, a difficult game designed for a specific kind of person with little in the way of approachability options
Not a jab at the reviwer, but I'm glad From Soft is still sticking to their artistic principles despite the same criticism over and over and over again.
I guess, now after 35 hours, I can say the review is mostly correct, there are plenty of bugs and problems with the coop, like corrupting save files.
But despite all that, the gameplay loop is really solid, it's fun to run around, and fight enemies, it takes a while to unlock the best skills but, it also makes it worth it. Regarding the story, I only partially agreed, the main plot aint that interesting, but despite that the world feels lived in with a tangible sense of history within, there are major events that are remembered by characters with a certain poignancy you don't see in many games. So even though the main plot might not leave you glued to the screen, the personal stories are all interesting with surprising moments, in other words, the characters sell it, even if you hate someone, you at least remember them.
Despite that, the score is fair, this game feels like a beta, I feel like I'm paying to play test it and although I'm extremely tolerant to bugs, other, justly, might not be so with a 60 dollars game.
