Hello, I recently bought a brand new computer for around $1500. I live in Canada, and I do not want to build my own computer for fear of voiding warranty or if I mess up and anything happens down the line, so I just buy from stores and have them build it.
These are my current system specs, I would also like advice wether to add another 6870 soon or get a 6990/6970 depending on the price down the line, if the upgrade would be worth it.
Intel Core i7 870 2.93 Ghz
6GB Ram
AMD Radeon 6870
1000W Rocketfish Power Supply
The powersupply was fairly cheap and would keep me relaxed on that issue for a long time.
Thoughts? Would this be just an average gaming PC? What should I improve?
I really don't know if this is going to sound stupid but it's annoying me since I have wasted a couple of discs due to this
So, I popped a 4.7 gig cd in my computer, burned a file on it. It was an ISO to be exact. Now, when I delete the file AND reformat that very same disc, it gives me: 698 mb free of 4.7 gigs.
Where the hell is the rest of the space? Is the disc a lost cause, or can I get that back? It happens when I place any files on it, not just ISO. Everything has to be burned.
Try running as administrator or even in XP compatibility. Works fine on my vista laptop and desktop =/
Ive gotten a random wired 360 controller in a pawn shop, smaller then the usual ones *Not made by microsoft possibly*
I just plugged it in and downloaded the program off microsoft's site for 360 controllers. Almost all my games work on it :)
Hello, I have read a guide on overclocking a CPU and what to keep in mind etc, I tried to attempt it. I headed into the BIOS screen and went to Frequency Control, but there were only 3 options, referring to a spectrum? In the guide it had a lot more options, with FSB speed and multipliers etc. Why am I only getting 3 options, either enabled or disabled, and how do I get it to show me the actual frequencies?
CPU: AMD Phenom 9550 X4 2.2 GHZ
64 Bit
No clue on the motherboard, how would I check that?
Thanks for your help!
=(
Try not to secretly brag on how nicely you can run Crysis, couldn't you secretly brag about any other game?
Anyways, as the other person said, it might be your OS. Did you upgrade all your drivers ETC? If you have vista, try running it in XP SP 2 mode and as administrator
