My computer has been making a low rattling sound ever since I installed my new CPU fan/heatsink. The sound only occurs when I first turn it on, then it dies down quickly, and I don't notice it. It's hard to pinpoint exactly where the sound comes from, but I'm pretty sure it's that plate on the back of the motherboard that allows the heatsink to attach. Opening my computer, I've tried tightening various screws but everything feels very tight.
So before I decide to take out my motherboard and mess with this plate, I'm wondering if it's really worth it. When under light use my CPU temp is around 30 and after awhile of playing games it maxes out at 50.
