Crysis + Crysis: Warhead = $15? Wow.

Definitely buying that but will wait until the last day in case it goes on a one-day sale.

Cherokee_Jack

Last Christmas they had it for $10.

I know. :( I had a crappy computer then so I passed on it. Even if it doesn't go down to $10, there's no way I'm passing on it this time.

It was much more entertaining watching Twilight Princess fanboys fall apart five years ago. This drawing is all we get? :(

I have some questions about companions. I want to take Faendal with me because he's an archer so I'd think he wouldn't get in the way of my melee character too much. Any other archer companions in the game? Don't want mages either because it seems like they could get too overpowered. The sidekick can't be better than the hero. :P

Secondly, I can equip companions with better gear, right? For archers, do I need to equip them with arrows so they don't run out or...?

Lastly, I heard companions aren't supposed to die (only faint) unless the killing blow is from the player's own weapon, but apparently they still die sometimes anyways? I heard there's a console command for PC that prevents this. Anyone know what this is? I still want them to faint, just not die. I'd be too sad.

Please and thank you. :)

Is there a list of smithing materials somewhere on the net so I know what to look for when I'm plundering?

YES! True. Wind Waker and Majora's Mask are the only games in the series that got this right. I was surprised that Twilight Princess felt so empty, both in the world map and in Hyrule Town. Skyward Sword actually took a step in the right direction, or in the same direction as Wind Waker and Majora's Mask, howerver, not as big of a step, or leap. I was really hoping that Nintendo would have done something similiar to the games I just mentioned, and in a way they have, but it's not as "deep". Skyloft is nowhere near Windfall Island or Clock Town in terms of exploration and personality. I'm glad though that Skyward Sword is moe of Wind Waker than Twilight Princess although they fell a bit short.

I feel like I've explained this too many times already, but the world in Wind Waker (to me at least) was mysterious and wonderous. The feeling of discovering a new island and finding a Piece of Heart there is just unexplainable. This is the kind of wonder that is lacking in Skyward Sword.

OniStrat

I loved Wind Waker as well for similar reasons. Seeing an island greyed out in the distance peaked my interest and I'd go off the path and explore. It was a really cool feeling seeing the island slowly come into focus. I also loved all the little things to do on Windfall Island.

Also, coming from someone who thinks Wind Waker is the prettiest Zelda game, SS looks really bad. Despite all the color, I think it's the blandest looking game in the series. I'm sure it has its moments, but overall I'd say it was a poor effort.

Each new Zelda game gets me less interested in the series. One of the things I loved most about the franchise is the sense of wonder the over worlds offered.

For whatever reason, I've started losing that sense of wonder with the games. I think games like Skyrim, that offer so much to do and see, leave the Zelda games far behind. I think the franchise needs a major overhaul to get me interested again. A lot of people still love it the way is though, so I don't think that will happen.

I enjoyed playing my friend's copy but it made me realize I'm glad I didn't buy it myself.

Multiplayer is pretty fun but the pistol is too overpowered. Also, the lack of maps is disappointing, even Headlong is included.

Anniversary does have the best firefight map and the campaign is gorgeous, but that doesn't justify paying $40.

I enjoyed it when I played it but after playing Skyrim I can't see myself ever going back. The flaws will become painfully obivous.

That picture made me realize how ridiculous the complaining is over the UI. I wasn't a fan at first but I've gotten used to it. Not going to waste my time complaining about menu "real estate."
