The people in charge must be complete morons, with all the hate aimed at loot boxes right now it would be intelligent to wait, but NO they just go for it anyway, Ubisoft gets itself added to alot of peoples avoid at all cost list.
The only games where I accept loot boxes is F2P its their main source of income so its kind of acceptable, Orcs must die unchained is a solid free game that gives you tons of free content and loot boxes are mainly for cosmetics, which I didn't mind spending £15-£20 on boxes when I first started, got alot of fun so they deserved some income from me.
The only Microtransactions I accept in full price games are cosmetics, like Monster hunter world only has emotes, face paint and costumes for your handler, and you buy what you want not loot boxes, the game has hundreds of hours of content, so alittle extra income is fine with me.
The game is too open to griefing, the length of time it takes to complete a quest then return to a spot that griefers can sit and wait for you will destroy the game for alot of players, you will have perma grief fleets sitting there waiting, and by the time Rare fixes it the game will be dead in the water.
I bought Assassin's greed and was lucky to get the money glitch to work before they patched it, so I got all their Microtransaction junk for free, HAHA up your's Ubisoft your now on my never buy your game list with EA.
@aross2004: once you get the other gadgets, you will likely dislike you cat even more, your palico can use a shield and draw even more aggro, or use flashbombs and traps, or the plunderblade which means they can get tons of extra monster parts and last but not least start using meowlotov cocktails and blow monsters up, greatest pet ever.
So the one thing that Sony has done that most people aren't interested in Microsoft are gonna copy, but the main thing that is selling the PS4 and the Switch console Microsoft continue to ignore, EXCLUSIVES is whats needed not indie exclusives or timed exclusives real ones, go pay EA to finish that star wars game that Visceral was making and use the full potential of the xbox one X and see the massive jump in system sales.
If Microsoft can't show a good range of real exclusives at the next E3, they should just give up on this gen and go back to the drawing board for the next one.
