probably a bad fan, bad ball bearing on the fan can make those noises,fan not spinning or failure to spin correctlycould results in overheating to system = system freezes, BSOD.

Go online, order a new fan for that laptop, put it in and see if you solve the problem.

no worries..be happy with your new GTX...there are plenty of DX10 to play for now..Crysis, Bioshock, UT 3, just to name a few.

I didn't see any AA or AS in graphic options. I guess we have to force it through driver?

I really don't understand my 3DMark06 score (9305), with the same settings as yours besides 4X Anisotropic, I managed to get 24. Yet your 3Dmark06 score beats mine by a large margin (4000+)underdark944

I ran 3DMark06 on XP with default settings, didnt force AA or AS, ran with High Quality.

Also you're not overclocking. If you did, I'm sure you would have gotten 11.5-12.5k.
