Basically, if you had a 20" monitor, 1680x1050, would you get the 320MB or the 640MB version? I am heavily leaning towards the 320MB version.Manly-manly-man

if you play at 1680x1050 with 2x/4x AA and 16xAS, I would highly suggest getting the 640MB because I'm sure you would need those extra frame rate.

agreed

Agreed one million percent.

And making sure everything works like it should.

get a job and stop complaining about not having enough money

Try going to college, and you'll know what it's like to work without being able to see a dime of it. But I guess it's easy when mommy and daddy pay for your expensive toys, eh?

no..i'm 25, graduating from UCSD with a major in Biochemistry, i work part time at a casino making $100-200 a day, 7 days a week.

also. learn how to save your hard earned money. If you go to a local college, then you can save a load of money by living with your folks and not going out and waste hundreds of dollars sharing room, and let me guess, you work your ass off to pay for the expensive car payment every month right? what did you buy a BMW? Mercedes?

Hey what kind of resolution/settings/frame rate do you get with lost planet on a 2900?

just wondering how powerful they are .

LouieV13

On Crossfire I max pretty much everything with atleast 60fps and 8x AA and 1920x1200 widescreen Res

are you playing the DX9 or DX10 version?

if DX10, set the shadow quality to High...i'm sure ur FPS will drop to around 30-40, which is still good.

with 4xAA and all settings to high (including Shadow Quality), I only got around 15-25fps, with shadow quality to medium, it went up to 30-50fps

DX10 games benchmarks show 8800GTS ahead of its ATi competitor in Lost Planet and Company of Heroes with and without AA, while the 2900xt beat nvidia with only Call of Juarez, the funny thing is CoJ is optimized for Nvidia...weird. With these results along with the obvious cons of the 2900xt, the clear winner is 8800GTS.
