when I made a thread just out of curiosity to ask users to list the AAAe PC titles as on nov 2005 (current gen) from the 200+ PC titles I have been told the PC has; which was entitled:

"Exactly how many AAA exclusvies are there for PC this gen?"

and asked people to not link the spreadsheet because it was flawed (after much argument, bit*hing and mud slinging) this is the list of games that I was given by lundy86-4 using teh spreadsheet:

PC:

  1. Starcraft II
  2. World in Conflict
  3. World of Wacraft: The Burning Crusade?
  4. Galactic Civilizations II: Dark Avatar*
  5. The Witcher 2
  6. Shogun 2
  7. Civ V
  8. World of Warcraft: WotLK?
  9. Crysis Warhead
  10. Galactic Civilizations II:Twilight of the Arnor*
  11. Sins of a Solar Empire
  12. GTR2
  13. Company of Heroes
  14. Galactic Civilizations II: Dread Lords*

this is just from the 14 games counted as AAAe for PC, does anyone else notice something here?

Expansions are new games built on the same engine with similar assets, and tend to follow a similar story-line

Tons of console games are guilty of doing the same exact thing. They just aren't sold as expansions, but instead "AWESOME NEW GAME ONLY $60 + $30 DAY ONE DLC".

Exclusivity =/= Sales, that's true

Things People Want to Buy = Sales

It doesn't matter if it's exclusive, multiplat, or whatever. The **** just has to be what people want.

People here are just confused. "Quantity" isn't what sells, and it never has been that way since the industry began.

About 0.00000000000001% if we're going by the actual dictionary definition of "hardcore".

And around I'd say a good 60% if we're going by the idiotic definition people spout off on this forum.

Yeah it sucks for those of us with friends in the world instead only internet ones

Lucianu

Is playing online with your friends forbidden?

It's sh*t compared to local.

Calling up 10-15 friends once a weekend to play countless games at yo home, smoking, drinking, having a good time, is my idea of a gaming bliss. It's what i do at least once a weekend. It's sad that most do not have the knowledge to experience that gaming heaven.

Playing online is a sh*itty experience compared to that.

I disagree, but alright.

I assume I wasn't the only person thinking "Shadowmoses should leave" when contemplating ideas about how to make this place better?

I don't think anything like that exists for the games I care about.

I ALMOST went out, and bought a 3DS with RE: Revelations though.

It's amazing how strong my guilt is at having a backlog to complete while thinking about purchasing new games. I couldn't even get my trainers on to leave the house.

I think I'm just going to bank my $800.

It's probably for the best anyways.

AcidSoldner

Really? I'm curious, what's your favorite game/series?

Don't have one.

Let's say in front of my person there lies $800

The legitimacy of this money is not of concern

What does a true gamer of exquisite taste purchase with this?

Valiant_Rebel

The entirety of GOG.com.

Though that does sound like it'd be awesome that is also the wrong answer.
