[QUOTE="15strong"]

Dumbest reason ever.

shinrabanshou

Part of the reason no one bothered to remove the DD PC games, not the reason why PSN/XBLA/Wiiware are separated. I personally think they should be removed, but I'm not sure it's worth the effort.

The reason for the latter, as has been stated numerous times now, is that a $10 or $15 shouldn't be compared to a $60 retail title - since they offer different value propositions and therefore are rated under different standards.

Which reviewer has said they're rated under different standards?

If you compare launch lineups for PSVita and 3DS you can easily see the victor.Ringx55

If there's one thing I know about launch lineups it's that they mean poop.

Let's say in front of my person there lies $800

The legitimacy of this money is not of concern

What does a true gamer of exquisite taste purchase with this?

MLBknights58

Megaman Collection

Megaman X Collection

Megaman Zero Collection

Whatever is left over is used for snacks.

A 60GB PS3 at its Australian launch price.illmatic87

These are definitely wrong answers

[QUOTE="Tikeio"]

[QUOTE="nintendoboy16"] Wait, Symphonia did WELL on GameCube? :?nintendoboy16

Yes, it sold over 1 million copies on the Gamecube alone.

Tales of Destiny and Tales of Destiny 2 are the only other Tales games that have sold as well as ToS. Tales of Eternia as well, if you include the PSP version.

No it didn't. It sold over 900,000 on Gamecube, it didn't reach a million until the Japanese only PS2 version released (according to my research).

As far as my research tells me that number you got (OVER 9,000x10^2!!!!!!!!!!!) is only from the NA and European territories.

Edit, nvm. I read it wrong. It does include Japan.

However, there are conflicting sales numbers you can find elsewhere. I can't recall the site I was on, but the numbers I recall stated 0.55 million in NA, 0.32 million in Japan, and something like 0.22 million in Europe. Then factor in other territories it also sold in, and it should be around my original number.

Xillia sold for well over 700 000 units so far in Japan, Tales always belonged on a Sony platform and hopefully we'll see more of them. I'd kill for Xillia. :(

archvile_78

After how well Tales of Symphonia did on the Gamecube Namco may as well have kept the series Nintendo exclusive.

I also believe it was their highest selling western release for a Tales game as well.

But what can you do? Namco is just dumb at times. Their fanbase is split up, and on every system rather than just one or two.

Then ToS2 came out... :P

I don't know how well the PS2 port of ToS sold, mind you it never got localised here sooo. >.>

It was kinda ToS2, but it seemed like more of a spin-off title, so it seemed pretty obvious it wasn't going to sell well.

Given how the market works these days; They would be better suited putting these games on handhelds, or going multiplat ps3/360.

That's what I think too especially given how often it seems that the "Tales" dev seems to be in trouble.

I think if I had to rate each console by its amount of "hidden gems" I think it'd go

Wii = DS > PSP > 360 > PS3

turtlethetaffer

oh ok for a second there i thought you were serious but then i saw your name and pic.

Do you even own a Wii or DS? I can dispute Wii, since alot of the gems are pretty flawed, but DS has so many great games that no one talks about.

A lot of DS games are flawed too, but despite that I was kinda reconsidering my stance regardless becuase the DS just has more games than every other console.

DS > Wii > PSP > 360 > PS3
