[QUOTE="SW__Troll"][QUOTE="IAmNot_fun"]What is this game about? Killing zombies? I don't like zombies but I do enjoy L4D2 from time to time with friends. Would I like it?Ace6301
It's survival mode. It doesn't have campaigns as well like L4D has.
With that said Killing Floor is one of the most incredibly well-balanced games ever made. The difficulty, classes, and weapons are just perfect in every way.
I could probably write the most grand review ever, but not here, not now, not never ever gg lol noob qq git wrekt.
I don't know about it being one of the best balanced games ever but it's quite fair for the most part. Berserker for instance can get crazy amounts of money with very little effort and at higher levels has some of the least risk. That said it's still a fantastic game. I have no idea how the L4D comparisons come about though. Their both co-op games where the enemies are primarily melee but that's about the end of the similarities. Oh it's balanced alright.
The difficulty is perfect, and leaves so much room for improvement. The game isn't over unless you truly dedicate yourself to getting better, and if you think you're good at FPS games think again when you dive into Killing Floor.
Not only that, but the gun weight, and class balance is pristine. Nobody is carrying around an arsenal of guns that makes them superior to all the other classes. Also, each class has a very specific set of strengths and weaknesses that make it actually worthwhile to properly stack a team.
Level design is also awesome. There's always an escape route, but despite that you can get overwhelmed easily if you don't pay attention. Map awareness is a huge factor to the game, and so is map control. That plays a lot into how you set up your team as well.
Like I said I could write a grand review on it. This should suffice for the moment. It's just a very well-balanced game where everything fits so perfectly together.
It's not like other games where you might opt to choose certain classes, and dismiss others entirely. You also won't dismiss certain guns as they all have a purpose. You won't get by with just camping out a certain location in a map either.
It requires a level of strategy, and skill that most shooters don't.
