I've been having this problem with the "quick quotes", too: it looks like the glitches are back again for the New Year. This can be fixed by editing the message and adding the original text, though. :)

if anyone can guess my fave character they are invited to join mensa!johngebreadman
I've already had one. It's not really a big deal: you only have to be "bright" (IQ=133 or above) and IQ tests are a poor measurement of intelligence, anyway.
[QUOTE="queen_valentine"][QUOTE="latte428"]I've got 5 games going right now (FF12 RW, Disgaea AOD, Blue Dragon, Dark Cloud 2 and the Witcher)... make that 6 as I have a couple more areas in Ratchet and Clank FTOD.
I just barely started Disgaea so maybe I'll stop and start 9. Can't divide my attention any further without complete brain over load! :P
It sounds like I may have to change my vote after playing 9....

 sounds like me! I've got a bunch of games going too! lol i always do this to myself
my problem is when someone talks about a game i start reflecting on the fun times i had with it, and have to start playing it again, in fact of the 20+ SE games i own chrono cross is the only one i dont have an active file for...man that was a fun game...come here serge, lets play again
You know, I get like that sometimes....
...Selphie.
Vaan or Penelo?
should we make a tread solely for SO games?TriEdgeFury26
I think that depends on precisely what you wish to discuss. If you're just talking about the games in general, then I don't see why they can't be discussed in the existing SE games thread. If you want to make your discussion more specific (e.g. discussing plot points), then that would justify the creation of a new topic (assuming that one doesn't already exist, of course).
Thank! I have also just did the member profile. i am a little confused as to how the character thing works and will reread everything in hopes of figuring it out.menniss
The Character System is actually pretty straightforward: all you do is choose any SE character you wish to represent you (unfortunately, Auron's already taken). Once you have requested your character, one of the other Officers will make you your own personal sig bearing your username and your SE character. A list of characters that have already been taken can be found in the first post of the Character System thread; Any character not on the list is available for you to choose. :)
Hope this helps. :)
Vivendi (even though they'll soon be one and the same ;) ).
Amaretto or Sambuca?
I have to say that I don't really recall the soundtrack to FFXII like I do with FFX. So I am going to go with FFX. Also just a suggestion could you add a poll to this topic?menniss
I think that's a very good idea. :)
*wonders why he didn't think of it ;) *
[QUOTE="crushgoil"]I bought FF3 DS because I didn't have it in another form.. and I did the same for the psp remakes of 1 and 2 because I had never played those either... it does provide for people who had never played the earlier games... I just think the remake of IV is excessive since it was remade for the GBA already.. anyone with a DS could've already picked it up in that format.latte428
I don't disagree since I played FF4 GBA on my DS.
FF4 was the first time that I considered purchasing a re-make of a game that I already own. In thinking more about it, I think I'll replay the PS1 version that I just got in FF chronicles (which I bought for Chrono Trigger). I just can't bring myself to pay for the 3rd re-make of any game.
It may only be one purchase but it is getting crazy with the remakes. If more people don't keep buying them maybe the developers will make more original games ...
*nods* Exactly.
[QUOTE="Cronaroth"]i dont know what GBA version you guys are playing but the GBA version I played (IE-an actual cart) was incredibly buggy, was slowdown laden in the fights. While the PSone version had just long Load and Save times and everything else was just fine. I still stand by that FFIV PSone was the better release-also the difficulty on the GBA version is ridiculously inconsistent, it goes from easier than the US SNES version to hard, to ridiculously easy. While the PSone version stays hard the whole time through, especially the last boss-in the PSone version he WILL rip you a new one, but its oh so much more fun.latte428
I'm not sure about the difference either as I didn't experience any of the slowdowns in any of the fights on my GBA version. :?
I'll have to play longer in the PS1 version as I don't remember any differences in the fights. I only played for a few hours though...
I don't know what versions of the GBA port you guys are playing, but according to what I've read, a lot of the bugs were fixed for the PAL version.
