I disagree. The PS2 continued to sell millions after the PS3's release, and some fantastic games continued to come out for it. Having been so long into the console generation now, developers should know the hardware better and be able to create amazing games that can hit massive sales milestones because of the proliferation of consoles available. There are more available customers.
Working hard lately Laura. What with E3 and the articles, you've become my favourite Gamespot AU employee now that Dan's up and gone. As for Tim - really amazing man. Surprised you didn't mention Sesame Street: Once Upon a Monster there - really cool game. Im heading to ACMI next week for the expo and one of the shows, really happy they have this on. What with ozcomiccon and this, Im getting my geek on in Melb. Then I might just head to ManaBar, lol. :)
There was the Star Wars: Republic Commando title on the original Xbox. It was a pretty solid tactical first person shooter. Looks like this title is much in the same vein - remove the force users, focus on the darker side of the galaxy, use cool weapons and equipment, and hopefully, provide a solid story. They've certainly got some good ingredients here and I can definitely hope that they can pull it off. A good Star Wars title is always welcome.
Im not seeing a huge step up graphically from the Xbox or PS3. Perhaps like the Wii, the next gen for Nintendo will be lagging graphically behind MS and Sony? What will that mean for third party titles moving forward?
