I would assume there would be some form of interactive comic or cutscene that showed the major plot points of the previous two titles. It's a good vote of confidence on EA's part to port the game to the system, and it gives players who are moving up from the Wii (and have yet to play the series on other platforms) something really great to play on Day 1. Considering what the Wii U launch lineup is looking like, something like a cheaper and hopefully deeper version of ME3 might be well regarded. Don't know how the online will pan out though.

Without doubt it has to be Shadowrun. It's a good game, but considering what the original was - it's a very bad move on MS's part.

So, E3 has come and gone for another year and now we can ask the questions. "Whatever happened to..." is where we can discuss what was missing from the show and what we wanted to see but didnt. Developers, Publishers or individual titles are good for the ranting.

Personally, I wanted to know whatever happened to... 2D Boy. They made the really excellent World of Goo, ported it to a bunch of platforms, but then nothing. They first released the game all the way back in 2008, and after their blog went quiet for the better part of a year, I thought they might make an announcement at E3 or at least beforehand (and show the game). Or perhaps that they had been bought or struck a deal with a publisher for their next title (which may or may not be World of Goo 2). Considering it took them less than 3 years to make World of Goo with only 2 people, I'd have thought that 4 years from then we'd at least know what they're up to.

Anyway - what do you think? And what did you want to see but didnt at E3?

Definitely. The industry is in trouble - and Oddworld Inhabitants and Nintendo saw it years ago. The Indie is getting bigger, and costs are just going well above what was once considered acceptable. The rise of DLC and downloadable games which sees developers receive bigger shares of their revenue is slowing down the inevitable doom for the gaming industry, but it does need a shakeup. The technology and the personnel required to now create titles is well beyond what most can do to sustain.

Something new from Rocksteady sounds cool. I believe they are done with Batman now. Also, Retro would be nice. Having done DKC Returns and the Metroid Prime titles, it would be nice to see them create something new. And finally, Bungie. I've loved every one of their titles and they are being given incredible leeway to create something new and hopefully groundbreaking. I eagerly anticipate what they will create.

A mature Star Wars title is certainly welcome, and the graphics are really quite nice, I have to admit. Im more interested in seeing how it plays, but if it's more of a third person shooter I wouldn't be as interested. Id really like to see some mature storytelling in the title, perhaps even some branching quests/paths and such.

I would probably wait for QuakeCon. It's unlikely we'll hear anything about it at E3 (which will likely get drowned out with all the other game news). At QuakeCon iD really has the show floor. And RAGE certainly proved that their shooting gameplay is still solid - I really thought they did well with that portion of the game in that title. The sound design was really excellent as well. As of course were the graphics. But for now it looks like Doom 3 HD is getting their attention, and I dont know where that leaves Doom 4 but I believe that means we're not due to see it for quite some time. A true shame.

It certainly look like it has been killed, or at least put on hiatus. I was hoping to see that they might make a new title for the PS Vita, or perhaps use the character in the Playstation All Stars Battle Royale title. But, there just hasn't been anything of note. And unfortunately that might always be the case. Syphon Filter was more of a PS1 era series, it's quite generic by today's standards.
