Who knows. A lot changed in this gen, next gen will change even quicker!

But if you want to know whether they will be replaced by tablets and shit? No. That won't be why consoles would end.

Consoles may evolve into something else, but it's hard to imagine, a lot changes in 8+ years these days.

IMO gameplay wasn't really limited by hardware power, only the combination of good graphics and complexity of a game.

What I expect to improve is interactivity and things like that, something we have not seen much of yet for next gen but maybe the Order 1886 will deliver as the whole world will use soft body physics.

What's the definition of 'next gen' gameplay?

I guess... a game which wouldn't be possible on current gen. We won't see many until next gen is over, maybe from first parties.

But to me even Skyrim would have been possible last gen with ugly ass graphics, I see no reason why.

Only 720p version confirmed is Xbox One. PS4 is still unknown but it will probably be under 1080p.

Doubt it, considering thats it in the new PS4 ad.

Never thought of that lol, but still, it could have been for any racing game in general (Need for speed).

Of course it makes sense for them to put it there, I'm just saying its ironic considering how Sony worshippers despise Halo in general, and considering that Halo is still currently in production and is MS's flagship series. In a way, that which is most hated by Sony fans, may actually help sell PS4s.....and if they were confident enough with their lineup, they wouldn't need to leave the word Halo in PS4 ads......but of course it would make perfect sense to have in the game ads.

This is nothing to do with Sony "worshippers".

@_Matt_: You cannot force people to work outside of their contracted hours. Not unless their is a clause within that contract which might say something along the lines of "in exception circumstances to meet the needs of the business you may be asked to"...yadda yadda yadda.

Even then it would not be unpaid and it would be voluntary.

On top of that, if it's in the contract, they read and signed it. So let's not cry about them "crunching".

Tiny install base, HD port of old game which had timeless graphics anyway, $50.

Yep.
