Great review. One doubt though: what did you mean with the cult of the State? Were you implying that the game could try to implement a different representation scheme, like of iconic leadership, or a people's "self-determination" in some way?

@korvus @nothingformoney I actually liked their reviews, the part that analysed the game and it's qualities. Though they very usually confused art criticism with product reviewing, and all of this with political commentary... each has a purpose, a medium, an audience, etc., it was mostly out of place, and they just jumped from one another in a way I wasn't that much of a fan of. This part I didn't like. But I think GS lost much by letting them go.

KevinV's work though, is completely solid.

@Verityrant I'm seeing more positive feedback than negative. Let me check again, maybe I'm being too selective.

I think Gamespot is overworking Kevin. Yet, he still delivers it with quality. Congrats, great review, made me want to check this title out.

@Kevin-V @DamnILoveGames I hope you read the comments and see that the majority, quite on the contrary, is actually congratulating you for this piece. Me for example: great work with this review Kevin!

@InYourMouf @real_mcgamer @foxhound_fox

"All reviewers are biased, because they're people, and all people have their own preferences"

Fallacy of ipse dixit of those that defends the negative nihilism (and cynicism) of nowadays.

Objectiveness is a logical conclusion, even for those that defend a dialectical approach to discourse (like myself). That's the very purporse why Justice is something possible on any legal system. It's ultimately the judgement of values.

@foxhound_fox @real_mcgamer And he based his review on the game's merits. Not upon what political lenses it should have attended to in order to deserve a better score.

For example, the story is mediocre, that's why the story doesn't deserve a good score. It's not that the story doesn't fit the reviewer's personal inclination. This is merit, an attempt at objectiveness (which is not an illusion like Nick once defended, but a logical conclusion from the employment of method of analysis). Kevin just showed how reviews can be impersonal while still being heavy on criticism.

@real_mcgamer @foxhound_fox Much less biased (and amateurish) then those filled with emotional responses to elements that personally displeases the reviewer as we've been seeing lately.
