it would have to be REALLY cheap. I tried one at Bestbuy, didnt like how it felt in my hand. I prefer my psp2000 by a ton.

you sir must have some tiny hands and I already have a go I considered it at launch ,but that tag was a little to high for me. Then they went ahead with that 3 games deal and I figured well my 2000 I already had to repair the UMD drive (tin foil for the win) and I only own 4 UMDs why not. And I love it its more portable and comfortable it looks better its so nice not caring UMDS
Also 16 gigs of built in memory[QUOTE="Sarge1442"]

i'll give you the games but the go has all the psp features plus bluetooth and the pause game feature. plus its really more comfortable and has an awesome screen.

I've got 16G, and it didn't cost me $250. So I've got all the games on the stick plus all the UMDs Iwant tocarry... so, your point? I don't need BlueTooth because I don't play online shooters, etc., the game-pause is of less than little use as I don't multi-task on my bloody video game as a text and web browser device or music player so the Sleep funtion on my 2000 does just fine for soft-powering my system between train stops...
All of that crud is way-extra and I have no need... oh, and my screen on the 2000 looks GREAT so I could care less about a smaller screen which only appears to be sharper, seriously. It's not. The sharpness comes from having less screen to cover but it's laughable to me that anyone actually thinks they're getting a better product. That's rationalization to the Nth Degree...
How much did your 2000 cost you and you factor in the 16 gigs of memory im gonna say its in the range of the 250 if you bought it new. I personally use my PSP as my multi media device the less I have to carry the better. Also the Gos screen is much better then the 2000 after upgrading it is a lot brighter works better in day light. If the go had a transfer program I dont think people would be throwing nearly as much of a **** fit I personally am using my psp more then ever now that I dont have to carry stupid discs do I miss Gitaroo Man yes
[QUOTE="ritz2"]Because it has less features and games for more moneygame_man1

My son originally wanted an ipod touch for his birthday but recently shifted to a psp go instead. We had an older psp awhile back and enjoyed it but was wondering what you psp go owners think. We like the idea of the minis but was wondering how it compares when it comes to music and internet? Is it basically the same as older psp models? Thanks in advance:)

If games is what you want psp is where it is at and all these people hate on the Go for no reason outside of Lumines and Gitaroo man all the psp games I want are on the store and I have a pretty wide range of tastes. As for music the psp go does a fine job though you do have to get your mp3s through a different service other then itunes. The PSP isnt as good with sorting things it basically sorts them by band and thats it no shuffle. As far as internet goes the Ipod Touch is far better espically if he gets the youtube app. Personally Id get a Go ,but I prefer gaming to internet on my mp3 player and awful app store games...
There's almost none of the games in my collection on the PSN... so there's a problem right there. It's a matter of taste and everyone is different so the parameters of the PSN may work very well for you and not at all for this bloke and his boy. From an economic standpoint alone, the PSN doesn't work for me as a gamer OR a comic enthusiast, really. I would rather pay $10 for a "Tomb Raider" title than $14... $5 for "Untold Legends" on UMD as apposed to $!5... and there are games which I love like "Race Driver 2006" which are just never going to be available through PSN even though it's one of the best driving games made for the platform...
But cheers, enjoy.
this very true I own a go and my 2 fav PSP games arent on it yet but the other ones I love are jsut get Lumines and gitaroo man on thereIt's just like the old saying (well, not really): A game system is no system without great games to support it. And the PSP Go lacks the great games that made it what it is today. @KillerWabbit23 You're not the only one who has a Grandia avatar....and it would seem that I'm not the only one either.tjoeb123Idk maybe it is just my taste in games I really dont care about star ocean and crisis core is good ,but I could miss it to me the only must have games the Go is missing are Gitaroo Man and Lumines. As far as game prices go outside of peace walker I have yet to pay over 20 dollars for a game
I just recently bought a psp go because my 2000 broke and I figured well I can trade in all my UMDs I dont play anymore and get this and I am impressed. I found it for more comfortable then the 2000 and the screen to look so much better. People complain about lack of games on the PSN store ,but all the ones I care about outside of Gitaroo Man and Lumines are there and most are 20 dollars or less ,but the new ones. So why all the hate for the go imo there 2 games away from there being no point in the 3000
