Now to be negative. I've actually played a few of these, and I must say I agree wholeheartedly. Where's Superman 64, though? Hmm...what's most interesting is that some of these games have their fans. @#%! Sonic fanboys......when will they realize that the 3D games are just plain awful? I decided to include 10 more in this list since so many are repeats.

Top 20 Best Games of All Time!

Out of curiosity, I checked GameRankings.com to see the highest scores any games have ever received. I was a little surprised by the results - out of the top 5, 4 are on Nintendo systems! Please note that before the PlayStation/Nintendo 64 era, reviews were very uncommon, so this only counts since then. Enjoy the top 20 list!

  3. Metroid Prime (GCN)
  4. Resident Evil 4 (GCN)

What I find most interesting is the fact that the Dreamcast died so early, but it has several games here in the top 20. I still need to play Half-Life...

New Super Smash Bros. Brawl Images, etc.!!!!

Everybody check out the Smash Bros. Dojo (www.smashbros.com). There's new images, music, and info regarding the game. No more announced characters or anything, but it looks like there will be day/night cycles, lots of amazing developers, and tons of music composers working with the game. It's gonna RAWK!!!

And, correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Nobuo Uematsu helping with the soundtrack? He's no longer listed on the website...

What are your top three game series?

I love making lists! Here's one I want everybody to contribute to! What are your favorite three game series of all time? They can be anything, as long as the series has at least two game entries that have actually been released.

Here's my three:

1) The Legend of Zelda

2) Metroid

3) Banjo-Kazooie, Donkey Kong Country, Super Mario, or Metal Gear Solid (hard to say, really)

When do I get my stinkin' emblems? ARRRGGGH!

Okay, seriously, I've been on Gamespot for a long time, but I haven't always logged in. I recently started doing that, and I've watched marathons, seen live beta videos, participated in forums and unions, and written loads of reviews, yet I only have the default emblem thing! What's going on? I also tuned in to all the E3 06 stuff and all sorts of crazy things, but I haven't gotten credit for them because I wasn't logged in. Somebody please help me...

Nintendo's Virtual Console

Nintendo should go all-out with the virtual console. They've done well so far, but the lack of rumble functionality is very disappointing, and there should be upgrades to these games other than widescreen and progressive scan. So what do I want to see? Here's my view.

Nintendo should get more systems on the virtual console. Sony PlayStation, Sega Saturn, Sega Dreamcast...they should be on there. Of course there wouldn't be Sony's games, but Final Fantasy VII-IX, Castlevania: SotN, Resident Evil, etc. would all be great. Nintendo could release a hard drive on the Wii to allow for tons more games to be downloaded, and make it easier to organize games. Buying in bulk should be cheaper than buying separately. Rumble should definitely be present, and they should make an N64-exclusive peripheral (with rumble.) They should get Rare to put Banjo-Kazooie and -Tooie, as well as Perfect Dark on the system and get online multiplayer on them.

There's so much they can do. Why don't they be more adventurous? What do they have to lose? People are buying the Wii like it's going out of style. I'd buy into Jet Grind Radio, Soul Calibur, and NiGHTS Into Dreams. Geez, c'mon Nintendo!

Mega Man Woes...

I have been a raving Mega Man fan since the NES days when I fondly played Mega Man 3 at my friend's house. I can remember clearly when I first had Mega Man X...my mom had actually bought it for me but forgot to tell me until about a week later, when I noticed it with the Super Nintendo. I was thrilled, and I took the challenge and passed the game again and again. Years later, I would label myself the "Mega Man Master" as I was so proficient at felling the awful robotic nemeses in the Blue Bomber's escapades.

I'm sad, though, because it seems the series is slipping into monotony and repetition. I guess it happened a while ago, but it's been masked well by the fact that Capcom has been doing some things right - Mega Man Anniversary Collection, Mega Man X Collection, Mega Man Powered Up and Mega Man Maverick Hunter X are some good examples. But those are just old stuff being reissued or remade. Mega Man Zero and Mega Man ZX are pathetic and boring, and the Battle Network series was only a mildly interesting diversion. Capcom is churning these things out, and I'm just not feeling the love. The last good new Mega Man game to come out was probably Mega Man X2, maybe Mega Man 8. Capcom has proven that they can do such great things with old franchises with such amazing feats as Resident Evil 4, so why isn't their flagship series getting the love? I think it's because fans will keep buying it even if it's garbage. It's sad, but true. Mega Man has become a shell of its former self, just like Sonic the Hedgehog. Capcom really needs to learn something from Nintendo, who has consistently been creative and innovative with its key franchises: Metroid, Mario, and Zelda are all continuously excellent and have never been bad within their main series. That's all.
