I plan on gaming at only 1080p, I have no current plans to do any higher resolution than that. I would like to be playing games on the highest possible settings.
CPU - Intel i7 3770
RAM - 16GB DDR3
HDD - 2TB 7200 RPM Wester Digital
Mobo - ASUS P8Z77-V
Case - NZXT Phantom 410
PSU - Corsair 750 Watt
Haven't decided on other stuff such as operating system, peripherals, etc. How long do you roughly think this system will last me?
I just finished Heavy Rain last night, and let me say that I went from not caring about this game at all to counting down the days for it. It is not a big deal to me that they grabbed Ellen Page (although I do love her work) so much, but as a whole I like that it is representative that video games are starting to be recognized as a legitimate form of media. It is kind of like when Aaron Staton (Mad Men, August Rush) joing L.A. Noire. I am just excited about the possibilities as a whole that this is opening up.
Heavy Rain, but I just finished it last night. It will probably be Uncharted 2 in a couple hours, but I have a Terabyte HDD in my console with about 50 games on it so I could end up playing one of those as well.
I am in the process of building a pc and have a quick question. If I plan on playing at 1080p, would it be wise to get two 7970 Ghz Edtions rather than just one? Or would you suggest something entirely? Keep in mind I will be wanting to play my games like Crysis 3 and The Witcher 2 on ultra, but I have seen conficting opinion on the necessity of 2 GPUs for that.
