Like others have said, buy one for the 120hz refresh rate.

sailor232

forgive me, and i'm usually quite the TV home theater buff, but aren't the advantages of the 120hz just a smoothing effect for motion, or am i missing something here?

i currently game on a 23" widescreen, but i plan on upgrading to a 27 ina couple ofmonths. I am interested to know if anyone here has much experience gaming on a 3D monitor. They are a bit more pricey than the regular 27" ones... but I have tried in-store demos of 3D movies in best buy and such- and was pretty impressed!I have yet to try gaming in 3D (minus the 3DS), and was wondering if anyone here has tried this for PC games and what they think. does it really make the game that much better? I have a gtx 460 and it supports the 3D vision. thanks in advance for any advice.

[QUOTE="MrJack3690"]

[QUOTE="ShadowDeathX"] You can mod it for that purpose. There are PC USB powered grillsNoodleFighter

Really? :P

Yeah or just get a Nvidia Grillforce graphics card :P

lol - but this coming from someone who thinks the PS3 makes him edgy, while a PC game makes you a dweeb ;) :P

^I just want to say, I personally love the Western aesthetic and music style :P. Wish it appeared on the official soundtrack release more than it does.

Haven't finished the campaign yet, though. Still making my way through.

Sharpie125

I liked the western-style stuff and the music, that wasn't my problem... that was presented in the original SC as well... they could have kept that in and still made the storytelling a lot less dull and more engaging, all while making the atmosphere darker, and a giving a greater sense of urgency... how relaxed all the characters are right before the final mission is just laughable to me... it was just not well put together... the gameplay was great, but the story and presentation were not up to par.

SC1 opening cinematic >> maybe you'll get an idea of what i'm talking about about the darker tone and atmosphere of the game. this is just one example of many of course... in the original, the terran seem darker, the protoss are more mysterious, and the zerg seem a lot more evil.
