A 5770 can have as good graphics as a GTX 580. That was never in doubt.
The main problem with the 5770 was it chugged with Crysis 2 at 1080p when full DX11 and hi-res textures were enabled. My GTX 560 Ti also did too at some spots where it really shouldn't like inside a building. I would guess it's due to the unseen tesselation going on underneath.
A 5770 can never come close to a GTX 580 not even 2 5770s. He has no idea what he is talking about. The difference with consoles and PC with the API is very minor. I could show plenty of videos of a weak 8600gt matching console settings and sometimes exceeding them. no the difference is that on consoles devs can program directly to metal whereas on pc you have to take into consideration of the apis and all different hardware combos so programming for it is harder than it is on consoles
