[QUOTE="Scumty"] well pc's post ps1 era are now obsolete. pcs may have been the reigning champs of gaming but now theyre washed up pcs dont have block buster titles like consoles do, they only have games that appeal to a small group of players, people who are into mmos and strategy rpg games. when the ps1 hit the market thats when the pc became a 3rd rate system, face it, its over.lundy86_4
I think you mean "pre". In which case, consoles pre-PS2/Xbox era are obsolete.
PC's have more exclusives, and on this site, more exclusives than each individual console and more high-rated (8.0) exclusives than all consoles combined.
"small group of players"? MMO's such as WoW play host to over 11 million active players . You're not doing too good with your ever changing argument here. It's actually frickin' hilarious
lol if all these pc exclusives are all "high rate" 8's and all then where are the people playing it? why is it only people like you and other pc hardcore fans that play these games, lol let me tell you something, because its only you people that find these terrible games good, wow is a terrible game, mw3 sold 11 million + and counting on day 1 on consoles! theres more AAA titles on ps3 then there has ever been on PC  MGS4, the game that saved sony god of war and many others that actually do get decent sales warranting for new titles, these so called "high rated" games on pc baley move weight[QUOTE="Scumty"] Just like PC's. Except that PC's are obsolete when it comes to gaming. PC's introduced gaming late in the stage.lundy86_4
Well, there you said it "Just like PC's". PC games originated in the early 1960's. The first video game console was released in the early 1970's.
I think it's suffice to say... F***ing lol.

Whole companies like Nvidia exist largely due to the PC gaming market. Consoles these days are simply gimped PC's with crap specs. There is nothing special about them. A PC is an all purpose machine. It can be used to work and to game. Who said it can only be used for work? Nvidia certainly wouldn't be nearly as big as it is now if that were true.

Well those parts were never meant for gamers since the pc originally was a work horse same with the mac. Its only recently that pcs were gaming machines when direct x was added. And yes the ps1 could play cd's, so technically sony intended for it to be a major multimedia device, and they really got it going when the ps2 came out when it had a dvd player.[QUOTE="Scumty"][QUOTE="DJP3000"]
So a PC equipped with an i5 2500K, GTX 570, and 8GB RAM was never intended for gaming purposes, just work purposes?

Well, if you aren't a PC gamer then there is no reason to own a powerful graphics card like a GTX 570 or a powerful quad core CPU like the i5 2500k.
Ghost Recon is now console exclusive, your powerful graphics card are useless if theres no games to play. When was the last true pc game to come out for the system? Its already been posted that bf3 was a console title, Whats the point in owning all of that if its going to waste?[QUOTE="Scumty"] And yes the ps1 could play cd's, so technically sony intended for it to be a major multimedia device, and they really got it going when the ps2 came out when it had a dvd player.lundy86_4
The PS1 was not the first console. It was also, the first to introduce a multimedia functionality, thus, consoles were not multimedia before it.
Just like PC's. Except that PC's are obsolete when it comes to gaming. Consoles ARE tho.DJP3000
